Thank you! Very helpful and useful tutorial. I did print the written instructions after viewing the video, because we know more than one child wants one of these! Thanks again for your instructions. Blessings.

Thank you Yolanda! I have been using this type of yarn for years & never realized it could make a pattern, such as the one in your video. My mom taught me how to crochet when I was about ten years old. She passed away at a very young age & I hadn't crocheted for many years. When I found you on KZbin, you helped to spark my interest again. I've made countless gifts for my family & if I get stuck, I can usually find my solutions from you. My 26 year old Daughter wears every single item that I've made for her. I appreciate your help so much & I think you are so talented! Have a wonderful day!

😇💚 Hi Yolanda, I have been watching your channel, of an on for sometime now, and you do a good job, in explaining step by step, on what to do, but if I can make a suggestion, to go a bit slower, for those who are just learning how to crochet for the first time. Sometimes a written pattern, can be confusing, for a beginner. Some of us are visual learners and some of us learn by written pattern or both. Thank you for SHARING Your talent !!! P.S. I go by my middle name Joy 😊💜🎃🍁🍂🎃🍁🍂🎃🍁🍂🎃🍁🍂🎃🍁

This is a great pattern, but the written pattern on the blog has an error for round 2 (correct me if I'm wrong): "Row 2: ( change to orange color) ch 3, dc into same st, *[dc, fpdc] into next st, 2dc*, rep from * to * to end of row, sl st into 3rd ch" - it should say ..."2dc IN NEXT STITCH". The video above has it right.

It would be nice if you could tell us how many stitches after each road. Thanks.

When you come back around to do the slip stitch, how does that part make a ridge? I keep doing my rounds, and it only has a ridge for the first 4 rounds.

This is great! Do you use the same medium 4 yarn with just a smaller hook for the kid sizes or do you use a lighter yarn to accommodate the smaller hook size?

Hi! so you basically do row 4 like rows 5 thru 12? Help anyone im working on my hat with an H hook and I’m doing rounds 5-12 but it seams to be increasing is it suppose to be or am I doing something wrong?
@marshacraig44927 жыл бұрын
hi, ive just started row 5 and there are 6DC then the front post. All the way around is 6DC in top of chain stitches then the front post DC. Try counting; each increase row (1-4) grow. I'm using H hook (i tend to crochet tight) and row 1-4 measures 5" (making for 7 month old). I do notice on round 5 (this might be where yours is growing) there are the 6 DC before the post BUT there is the chain stitch on top of the front post. Could you be still putting DC in that front post top chain stitch and then also doint the FPDC? I fell into that and had to rip out back to row 4 and start counting to see where I went amuck,

Be careful not to add stitch on the front post stitch. You only put stitch on top post when increasing. That was the mistake I was making. Hope that helps!!

I found the written pattern very unclear and confusing. As for the sizing I found that it was inaccurate. I made a “child” size (just to be safe since my baby wear size 6 months clothes)using your hook recommendation and it was still WAY too small for my 4 month old 😅
