Thank you!! I don't have a sewing machine but I could easily hand stitch the edges. I use the bungee clips but this is is 10x easier- especially with very messy kids.

I would definitely try this! Thank you, my mind was going crazy because I was going to go with the elastic and didn’t know how much to buy. When I seen your tutorial, no more elastic 😊 love how it looks. Can I use vinyl tablecloth on this project? Blessings to all🙏🏻

I´m glad you like it. It should work just fine with vinyl tablecloth...a little tricky to sew as the vinyl tend to slip when you sew it.

I was going to use elastic as well (just measure all four sides of table and add a pinch, you can always adjust! Just a suggestion) BUT I am definitely going to try it this way!!! I’m covering wicker bedside tables, I hope it works!!! Gr8 video, thank you!!! PS, it sort of looks like she did use a vinyl tablecloth, that’s what I’m going out shopping for, I’ll just ‘cut to fit’! 😊 I like the little bit of soft felt on the underside!

What stitch length did you use? I need to add elastic so it's truly fitted so the wind doesn't take it off. I don't want the stitches to make it come apart

Hello, I don´t think it will work on an oval-shaped table. If the table corners are is rounded, maybe you can make 2-3 pleats for each corner to fit the rounded shape.

Of course you can make a double fold hem or add a bias tape to finish the edges. I used laminated cotton fabric and as it doesn’t fray it wasn’t necessary to hemming it 😉. Same if you use oilcloth, no hemming needed.

Of course. You don’t have a lot of sewing to make to complete this tablecloth, so it’s doable with hand stitches easily. 😉

Of course, if you work with a fabric that doesn´t fray you just have to stitch the corners. It´s doable with a few hand stitches.
