Easy Tongs for Beginners

A collaborative project that Bill Corey and I worked on last Wednesday. Light weight tongs made from 1/4" x 1" hot rolled flat bar. The reins are cut from the stock with either a bandsaw or cutoff wheel and the holes for the rivet or bolt are drilled. The bits are twisted in the vise and do not require fullering.
I show how to adjust the bits for flat stock or modify them for round stock.
