I used to cut on glass, but glass will break the tip of your blade very easily. I've had my cutting mat for many years now. I love it.

Thanks for your answers. I am cutting on glass pane right now, I think that is why my knifes are not as sharp as they could be :). So I am looking for cutting mat now!

@bbcute1013 the unattached tail is not really hidden. It is glued back in it's exact place it was. So you will see the cut lines if you look closely. Make sure the pink heart is close enough to the center crease so that it can support the tail on top of it.

Hi! Thanks for watching my videos. I use an X-acto knife to cut through the print out plus the card stock. It's not too difficult. Just use a new knife and a cutting mat. Having a good cutting mat will keep your blade sharp. Also, use 65lb card stock. That should be thick enough. The thicker the paper, the harder it is to cut through. good luck!

@kaybbyy You want to "score" where you intent to fold the paper. Scoring will make the fold more precise by weakening the paper where want to fold. There are 3 ways of scoring. 1. Using a knife, cut half way through the paper. 2. Using a blunt tip, like a ball point pen, press hard to "dent" the paper where you want to fold. You may need to press through your template so you don't mark up your card. 3. Make a series of small dashed cuts. This will make the paper weaker in those locations.

@litusweety I'm not sure what "chat" paper is. You should use card stock, a thicker paper like watercolor paper or bristol paper. Use at least 65lb paper if possible. You can also find this paper at any office supply or craft store.

I like your videos, they inspire me to do some cards. Can I ask you, is it hard to cut through 2 layers of paper (wite printed and blank coloured), I mean, can you screw card up? And should I use very-very sharp knife to cut 2 layers or sharpness does not really matter?

@fluttershy10111 It's not going to stand up very well. You will have 2 limp hearts. I'd recommend using cardstock. You can use watercolor, or bristol paper. If you can find a red file folder, that can work as well.
