Exactly the depth of a review I was looking for. Thank you !!

That's remarkable. My wife and I both work remotely, as well. We already owned a rural property (10 acres) and were notified that our local electric company was going to be burying the power lines and removing the overhead lines. At the same time, they were bringing in a fiber optic line...that was when we decided to build! I'll be looking into this WiFi extender so that we can leverage those speeds outside of the barndominium walls. :)

Love the way you cover multiple products and show the install and results. Maybe one day I can set up a solar solution for the home. Being on a fixed income , with the cost of living, it is hard to save up to do that at this time.

GREAT Video! Exactly what I was looking for at my larger property! Thank you!

Your best and most simple option is to get a powerline extender adapter from like TP-Link. It plugs into any power outlet, and uses your electrical wiring to send data. That is what I use to because running ethernet is too long and wifi extender diminishes too much.

Excellent information! We've tried a couple of different "extenders" with little success. Your setup looks great! Thanks!

@kbjerke yeah I tried it in wireless repeater mode and didn't really get much benefit. But using AP mode it really does solve my coverage needs. :)

TP link has units that can be hardwired, either with cat 6 or via standard electrical conduit, to extend your range with less likelihood of undesirable attempts at unauthorized connection (or network penetration) and without loss of signal strength.

This is the most cost-effective and and simple method.

Maybe you should get wifi antenna that's runs out of your metal building

Thinking the exact same thing. A quality access point mounted outside the barn would be able to connect to your existing network at 25% of the cost.

that first speed test is way better than i got with tmobile home 5g modem. was disappointed with the tmobile speeds. had alot of buffering issues trying to watch videos.
@ReeWrayOutdoorsАй бұрын
@JohnBraman413 yeah we lived with the TMobile Hotspot for the first 4-6 weeks after we moved in while waiting for the fiber service to activate. It was passable ggenerally except for uploads. Those were extremely painful.

Nice video. I have been looking for something to extend signal from my cabin to my deer stand.. Thanks.

Your "might be passable" is better than I am able to get. 😢 Probably time to pay up for starlink. My barn is quite a bit further away... Not sure that would do it but I do have a great line of sight.

Two Unifi loco 5ac (no cloud key required). At the barn POE injector pwr to Loco5ac and LAN side of injector to Wifi Access Point or network equipment.

Wonderful info. Did you consider TP-Link Deco Outdoor Mesh WiFi (Deco X50- Outdoor), AX3000? I have this one for a similar purpose, but not nearly as far as you need yours, and my shed is more of a tiny wooden house in my backyard. Works great.

If you have time I'd be interested in what brand of zero turn lawnmower I saw in your barn,I'm looking to get my first zero turn so I'm doing research on what to get
@FreakphotoАй бұрын
Why did you choose the Wavlink vs the Deco X50-Outdoor, which would have kept you in the same mesh network?
@mr.c6674Ай бұрын
I asked the same question.

Too late for me. I had a 10 acre farm where the house was separated from the barn by a creek and thick East Coast woods. I believe this product would have helped.

Couldn't you just stretch a fiber cable for more reliable connection and have you considered the Health Hazards of having this many signals around you. Not everyone cares about their health it's okay, just you have a dream to live far away from the stuff and you are putting it right on your property. You do you.

That device is not cheap it still costed you $200 what the hell are you talking about?
@ReeWrayOutdoorsАй бұрын
I could've gone the PtP wireless bridge route for about the same cost....BUT I'd have to do 2x the cabling, and then add another mesh router module costing an additional $150. I'd end up with (presumably) faster speeds, but I still would've had dead zones in other areas of the property. So...for me at least, I don't consider the $200 cost to be excessive.
