Excellent video. Watching this saved me all sorts of aggravation know about the security torx fasteners. I used my Dremel with a metal cutting wheel to remove the collar from the old hose and it worked perfectly. This entire project took me about 20 minutes by know exactly what to do ahead of time. Thank you for a great video!

I had the same issue and thanks to your video it help me fix my sprayer. I am having an issue though (after fixing) it does not auto shutoff like it did before once enough air pressure has been pumped into the tank. Did you have this issue? Any ideas or thoughts of why this may be happening? Thanks :)

Well this is embarrassing, I had the same break at the same place. I didn't know there was a fitting under there, the thread is BSP (British standard pipe) and I couldn't find a replacement so I replaced the whole pump with one that has barbed ends. I guess I should have tried cutting the hose apart 🤣 On the up side, the new pump is way more powerful and shoots farther.

When putting the cap on dont press at the handle. Use both hands on the outer edge of the cap and run it backwards till it drops down into the threads. Then tighten the cap on. Ive never had trouble putting the cap on like everyone else does I guess.

It does, but it's such a PITA it's easier to fix it yourself than waste the time and effort. We did get what we paid for! 😉😉
