If you put your thumb nail close to the top of the blade on its flat side it acts like a depth stop so you wont cut into the fruit.. Quick and controlled.. AB

I live in Florida. Citrus everywhere. Trust me, if you pick up the right locally-grown pomelo (honey variety) it's well worth what it takes to open it.
