The sequence 1,4,9,16,25,36 Plus odd numbers works also. So plus 1,3,5,7,9,11

Going by powers of two helps me more. The tenth number in the sequence is 19+17+15+13+11+9+7+5+3+1 or I could just think 10 squared. The eighth number is sixty-four, the fifteenth number is 225.

Different solution here, same results: 1, 4, 9, 16, ..., .... Add odd numbers in a row: 1+3=4 4+5=9 9+7=16 》16+9=25 》25+11=36

The number being equal to the sum of the previous two numbers I know from Pascal's Triangle, but I don't think that's what you meant

The sequence at 7:40 works for you as you wrote it but given the 2,3,5,8,12, my answers for the next two numbers are 20,32. As you can see, some sequences have more than one rule which leads to different answers. My reasoning is that the next number is the sum of the previous two numbers.

There are different formulas for difference series. e.g for arithmetic progression nth term=a+(n-1)d
