1. Decreased plasma oncotic pressure. 2. Increased capillary hydrostatic pressure. 3. Reduced clearance of fluid and proteins from interstitial spaces. 4. Intracellular fluid accumulation 5. Increased osmotic pressure in burned tissues. I think this will be more helpful for everyone.

2 years later, your video helped save me from impending doom of awkward silences and humiliation from my role-play on burns tomorrow. I owe you my social reputation. from: clueless nurse

Cardiac output actually decreases and the heart compasates for this reduction by increasing the heart rate

I was wondering, cardiac output will be decreased, while heart rate will be increased. There is not sufficient fluid volume in the body for heart to pump due to the loss of fluid in to the tissues like you mentioned. Heart rate will go up so that heart can keep up with the body's need of the blood.

ok. . so we produce less of anti-acid things b/c the cells aren't getting enuff fluid, but then wouldn't we produce less acid as well ? = /

U spent 3 mins talking about ulcer and 20 sec talking about cardiovascular changes which are the most important in any shock syndrome

@@anasomar1473 what is most ‘important’ to you is subjective, some things need more or less explanation depending on the basic principle of it. I suggest getting a life
