Well done! Lots of people can show their "finished" cars, but not everyone is as good at breaking the steps down and making people feel like they need a huge airbrush rig and art studio. Your video was extremely helpful and encouraging. I've been back in the hobby now since March 2024 (although it's really more like being a "first-timer",) and I'm still building my layout, but I've been acquiring a lot of old second-hand cars really cheap, so those will make great practice cars for this. Thanks again!

I just found you. Did you do a video on how you weathered your cars? I will try this.

Luckily, my time frame is '75-'80. The only graffiti back then was "Herby", "Bozo Texino", "The Rambler, port of Beaumont Texas". etc. Microscale did a decal sheet for those.

I do mostly Pantel Pastel Powders as you, I still have my Airbrush kits... but I have to tell yah, Airbrush is cool, but that Airbrush clean up is a BEATING🤦🏽♂️.... So, I do mostly Powder weathering... Good Tutorial Sir.👍🏼

How do you seal the chalk to the car so you don't get finger prints?
@wheelslip28 күн бұрын
Seal it with dull coat. Start by applying dull coat. That gives something for the Pan Pastels to adhere to. Then seal it with another coat of dull coat. Only thing I failed was that you should use latex gloves so you don't transfer fingerprints to the model. Pan Pastels will make fingerprints show up like your headed for jail.

Unpainted welded repairs, door hasps n such are a good excuse for dark rust.
