CORRECTION: Epic Games Launcher has regional pricing with more regions just added specifically for Metro Exodus. The physical version will also have codes for the Epic Game Launcher, not Steam. What the Epic deal has done for third party sellers is only hurt the authorised sellers, such as Razer and Green Man Gaming. The grey market situation is still the same, where physical games are still gutted for their codes. The game is now technically more expensive in the US now, as prior to this going down, Metro Exodus was $48 on the Razer Game Store. So everyone's paying more, unless you go grey market

Hey guys, in terms of feedback (you've no doubt realised all of this before me): Obviously Ian has good reasons for mic quality, so that's moot to criticise. I think red is very much your colour now, I'd stay with that for desk lighting over orange. I realise you don't have a million cameras but I'd personally suggest breaking the straight-on shots up a bit, whether by using those same shots of two Allies on screen that were working so well in the later garage podcasts, or two cameras set at somewhere around 45°either side of the desk, to get a slanted view. Say if an Ally in Blood's seat is talking in depth, a camera on Kyle's side at 45° with a slanted view across the desk with 2-4 Allies in the frame will break up the straight-on shots. This kind of perspective change is kind of evidenced already and works for Kyle's close up, which is a subtle visual change, because he is slightly turned away and even a little off-centre at times, which really helps emphasise that he is talking to people that aren't in the shot to his right/our left. The Salad cam also breaks things up similarly by simply being at a different angle. Of course Jones' sponsor reads at Half-time are an exception, but I would just reduce straight headshots. Naturally you guys are likely planning to busy up the backdrop somehow, and I'd make 'Easy Allies' visible somewhere the entire time, whether on the wall, desk, or even as a little corner graphic. In fact I'd love a corner stamp.

Very pedantic thing but may I suggest angling the camera down a tad so it doesn't catch the metal frame of the light rigging(?) in the shot, the unsymmetricalness throws out my OCD haha, also the LED's look/vibe are great but the faces are a little shadow'y (mostly the sides? but a little all over also) but that I'm sure is an easy fix (and I like the colour schemes btw). Looks swish though and the same ol' reliable fun discussions. (also I think division 2 is also on uplay on PC? just not steam. But I haven't double checked I just remember reading that in the announcement press release)

Metroid Correction: At the end of Metroid Fusion, Samus does manage to return to her standard Power Suit, thanks to the help of the SA-X virus that fused back with her in the final boss fight. Other than the death of all Metroids (again supposedly), there should be no real reason that another Metroid game can continue after the Fusion game.

The new stage looks very cool, but a bit too corporate for me. It looks like GT 2.0, but to me EZA has it's own cozy vibe. I would like to see an EZA logo on the desk or in the background and possibly some other kind of decorations to make it a bit more cheerful. The changing lighting effects are very cool, I am interested to see how the other shows look on the stage.

Love the start to the stage! Just going to throw in some constructive suggestions. I think if you hang some EZA pictures or something behind you on the walls it will maybe distinguish it from Game Trailers, and advertise your brand, also will make it feel less empty. CORRECTION COMBO: The Division 2 is not Epic exclusive, it's still coming to uPlay. The deal Epic made with Ubisoft was just to get it removed from Steam and other digital retailers, so it will just be on Epic Game Store and uPlay.

Speedrun strat: Use the elongation gun with the biomass grenades to rocket jump past the clock section and land onto one of the thin-legged Dali Elephants. You get out of their range of attack (their trunks can only spray downwards) and you can use the matter converter on them from above to farm carbon, for crafting graphite-grade weapons. Since this isn't a normal weakspot, they recover hp faster than you can drain it. Edit: This has been patched out in version 3.14, the biomass grenades blast radius stays the same after being elongated.

Correction: Despite Jones being correct regarding the elongation gun in Dimensional Arcades 3... it is entirely possible to get the elongation gun earlier in the game if you do a certain sequence of events, making it somewhat less obvious that you should be using it in that part of the game. Still, pretty easy though.

I love your new studio and so happy you got an awesome spot to keep making all the cool stuff I love. It may just take some time to get used to and things will change over time, but as others have said the podcast studio feels tooo corprate. Maybe an Easy Allies sign... or bring in lightening in. But The garage was cozy, felt like friends sitting down to discuss video games. This feels sterile. The room the allies did the studio launch party I think would be better for the podcast. More cozy!!! Plus lightening is in there. Maybe have set pieces to bring in to the podcast studio to make it more cozy then remove for other segments etc. Something that says/feels Easy Allies. Cause I was initially attracted by the laid back "Easy (going)"atmosphere of friends in a cozy room. I felt like a friend sitting there with you. Now I feel like an studio audience member at a major media outlet not an ally.

The set looks so bright and shiny! My boys seem a little dark or washed out/pale, but we're just working out the kinks. I also feel like I might be alone in this, but personally I really like the "behind the scenes, behind the news" asymmetry of the metal scaffolding. It suits the dynamic, conversational style of the show. Maybe the camera could be raised slightly so that the horizontal scaffold isn't just peeking out, and thereby look more intentional? So excited to see it all coming together!

CORRECTION: Metro Exodus' retail version will have an Epic Store key even though they still confirmed on January 24 on twitter that the boxed version will have a Steam key. It's still 59.99 in Euros (which is $68,73 as of today) on the Epic Store - same price as it was on steam - so no benefit for euro countries like Deep Silver/Koch Media stated in the announcement. Btw The Division 2 is 3rd party exclusive to the Epic store. You can still buy it off Uplay (a uplay account is needed anyways) so unlike Metro you have the choice where you buy it.

Audio sounds pretty similar to me, no problems there. The lighting looks a little dark, especially on the panelist's faces. This is purely subjective, but I feel like the colors don't fit this show. My humble opinion, the red/white/black of the brand colors make the most sense, and the back wall could have decoration or something that carries a more personal touch instead of the neon lights. It's great to have a space designed for this sort of work instead of using the garage. I'm sure you all will grow into this space well! L&R

New studio looks great, only have a couple of minor nitpicks. Audio is a bit off and not super cozy. Ian's audio sounds like its only being picked up by the panel's microphone, so it sounds like we're listening to a speaker that's been fed through some microphones (obviously you all know about this, just mentioning it). My biggest gripe is the back wall and the lighting. Blood & Ben were lit well, but Bosman and Jones were kind of shadowy and cold. This might just be from their stone cold demeanors, but we might have to get some more lights on them to warm them up. The back wall is B L A N D, looks okay during the wideshots, but any of the dedicated cameras it looks like they're floating in some kind of bluish void and alienates us from them. The only one that doesn't make me feel that way was Ben's seat because there is some texture and points of reference. Other than some minor tweaks, the studio looks great.

Kyle, in regards to games being sold for cheaper on PC, there are two kinds of websites that do this. "Retailers" obtain keys directly from publishers and when those sites offer discounted pre-order prices, they are cutting into their own margin, leving the devs revenue unaffected (as in, if the original cost of the game is $60 then the publisher still gets the equivalent of 70% of $60 but the retailer gets the discount by going into their 30% share of the revenue). Examples include Humble Bundle Store, GMG, Fanatical. Think of them as you would Gamestop, selling Steam and Blizzard games but only having a website. "Key Resellers" don't obtain them directly from publishers and probably don't have publisher's support. Here's a good article from PC Gamer on it: www.pcgamer.com/pc-game-storefronts-compared-what-you-need-to-know-about-retailers-and-resellers/ As for how it relates to Epic Games Store, I think basically if Epic doesn't have keys/codes of any kind then both of these types of sites can't sell their games.

Ian if you’re reading this, just some camera feedback. Check out other shows with a four person panel, like Red Letter Media’s Best of the Worst. Or Giant Bombcast. I think you need the one wide shot and then mediums with two people in for the other cams. The close ups are waaaaay too close and detached from the group. Not necessary. And with the current background it puts the speaker in limbo land. So I vote putting the panel in 2’s for the 2nd and 3rd cams.

Correction: Epic Games has regional pricing, but it's complicated (also been expanded heavily recently, wasn't always there). In certain countries they support regional currencies, in other the price is still in USD but adjusted to the region, the prices are still decided by the publishers. (As a curiosity, the price for Metro Exodus on Brazil stayed basically the same, Epic Store uses dollars here so not an exact comparison, but it is close enough)

so proud of the allies! So far so good, although it does feel a little like GT while loosing a little of the cozy vibe from the garage, but it's all a matter of getting used to it. Three suggestions: 1) shift the cam a little down so the top scaffolding in the back is not seen as the weird angle causes me anxiety lol 2) center the camera so that the desk is centered (the left side has a wider gap than the right side) or you could even zoom a little and fix it 3) the echooing is too distracting, especially in Ian's booth other than that, this is pretty damn cool and I wish you guys the best as you evolve forward L&R

Love the new setup, looks really smart. Got a few thoughts to improve though: Kyle and Brandon look quite dark and I think need to be more lit on their near side. Also could the close up shots be zoomed out a bit, it was fine most the time but on the blood close up he looks a bit lost against the uniform back drop, perhaps getting a bit of the table in the shot would help maintain context. And then I think some branding in the frame might help promote you guys, is there any scope to fit a screen somewhere that you could use to show something different for each show?

Correction: they have regional pricing now after some months but only on dollars in most countries, so the price can fluctuate a lot. The regional pricing is weird and its not global i Live in Brazil It took a month and a half to implemented only on dollars. I saw a printscreen that showed different currencies for some regions

Not sure I prefer the pure quality of this or the coziness of the garage, but this is great and I love the simplicity and color either way. Good job, guys. Also, Pro Strats Only is still the worst. I think Kyle does it just to annoy people, but the Allies are too nice to tell him to stop.

Hey, it's a great start and congrats on the first podcast in the new studio, here's a bit of feedback: - Maybe get some shelves in the foreground, the white wall and metal cage make the set very corporaty and cold especially compared with the garage's LVL2 presentation - Lightning is a bit cold (too much blue, low color saturation for close-ups making things look rather gloomy and dark) - The group shot for the full table could be more centered (the left side is farther from the edge of the shot that the right side) - I'm sure you've already fixed it by now but maybe sticky-tape that desk cable on the right to hide it - The metal cage being in the shot is actually weird. It's just the right "pillar" and a bit of the top showing, it looks unintentional. All nitpicks, congrats on setting up that much in so little time!
