Yeah that's Sylux. He was first teased in Prime 3's ending following after Samus and showed up in Federation Force to steal Metroids in that games final ending as well (which is why he has those during what is presumably the intro to this game)

Fantasian was the big one for me. Hironobu Sakaguchi and Square Enix coming together again after 20+ years is heart-warming. The last time Sakaguchi worked with Square Enix was on FFIX and he regarded it as his favourite. There's potentially an opportunity for Square Enix to persuade Sakaguchi to reprise his role as producer for the FFIX Remake. That would be HUGE!

Why is Metroid Prime 4: Beyond a weird title? We already have Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, so this naming scheme is in alignment with the rest of the series. Also, the “Prime” name means it is in the same pocket of the timeline. There is absolutely no way this or any Prime game would ever take place after Dread.

Most people don't know this but Metroid Prime 4 is continuing from where Federation Force left off, Which ended with Sylux stealing a Metroid.

Which (also worth noting) is a pretty good game. The hate it got because it wasn’t Prime 4 was ridiculous. Wish they’d give it a second chance as a quick and dirty uprez on the eShop or as an NSO thing. I think people would enjoy Left4Dead: Metroid a lot more now with the remake, Dread, Samus’ Return out and 4 coming next year.

@@sethjarrell4917 Nah, there was more to it than that it's not as simple as "tHiS nOT Prime 4. thIS SuX!". You're forgetting that, at the time, the last Metroid -is in captivity. the galaxy is at peace.- game was _Other M._ After that game the series went into a 5-year hiatus with _no news of anything._ Only for them to reveal... a Metroid _spin-off,_ focusing on _multi-player and the Galactic Federation,_ with _no sign of Samus._ Just image if the 1st game they released after the 8 year gap from Super Metroid was... Metroid Pinball. (Not exactly the same, but it'd be a similar scenario, I bet.) When they announced Federation Force it had been ~8 years since Prime 3, ~11 since Zero Mission and ~13 since Fusion. After the... "mixed, at best" reception to Other M, people were fucking _dying_ for a more classic Metroid experience, Prime 4 or otherwise. It doesn't matter how 'good' that game may end up being, it wasn't what the series _needed_ at that time and sure as hell wasn't what the fanbase wanted. Maybe if something like, Samus Returns had "swapped places" with it, as far as release timing goes, it would have fared somewhat better. Let's not forget that Nintendo _also_ DMCA'd AM2R around that time as well. So not only were people left looking at this weird spin-off, but something that looked like it would "scratch that itch" just got shot in the face. We wouldn't know they were making their own version of it until almost a year later. Naturally people would be quite frustrated/pissed off by this point and aim those feelings at FF.

@@King_Luigi AM2R got DMCA'd because the dev team started asking for money, thus breaking Fair Use terms, there's a reason Nintendo can't stop Pokemon rom hacking or why they could take down Yuzu but not Ryujinx, making a "fan project" is legal as long as you don't make the mistake of monetizing it.

@@AlexG-bb8ql Uhhh what? Are you sure you're not confusing this with another project? While "fan project making money" is certainly a factor in them going after something, I don't think that applies in this case. Looking around I see the opposite, with messages saying the Dev _doesn't_ accept donations specifically to avoid that stuff. (Funny you mentioned Pokemon, as I recall several hacks being taken down a few years ago and an entire site got hit by them a few months ago.) As far as I can tell, there are 2 reasons it got DMCA'd back then, popularity and timing. Several big sites wrote articles about it for years and a bunch of people streamed/made videos on it. It got so much attention in a short time when it released that, of course, someone at nintendo legal would notice it. Nintendo was also in the middle of remaking M2 themselves at that time, naturally there being a "free version" made by fans floating around online before they could get theirs out would be a problem for them.

MP4 is most likely getting the BotW treatment where BotW was originally developed for WiiU then got dual released on WiiU and Switch. MP4 originally developed for Switch but will get a "Switch 2" port.
