In absence of safety module for the emergency stop I thought it's a good practice to have the emergency stop through 24V in series with the coil of the contactor which is not a big consumer

The E-stop contact for the PLC is just to get a signal that the power is cut off right? Not to stop the machine?

That means we should use two NC elements one for contactor, another for plc for safety purpose

plc signal is just to generate alarm on HMI screen for Emergency stop

@@manikandanmadhuvappan8166 we would use the dual circuit to a safety relay instead of plc. First circuit would remove power to initial main contractor of the device. 2nd circuit would remove power to safety relay for entire cell. Plc would see safety relay down with e stop. All cells on that safety relay are checked to to reset.

Because if wire broken than machine stops and alerts the operator ..... other wise normal open logic will never give plc signal if wire broken ..... in emergency case if operator press button it is use less ... machine keeps on running

If the emergency stop function is properly designed, none. However, it takes knowledge to do that, simply cutting power is not safe. For instance, you might have a crane with an electrically closed hook. If that suddenly loses power, the cargo will be released. Thus the emergency stop for the crane must not cut power to the hook. Fictional example, but you get the idea.
