Hi, Thanks for the tutorial. I just want to add that you can sew the neck closed rather than velcro. I've been making my dogs' jackets for a few years, very similar to yours and found closing the velcro a little tedious, trying to match the strips as my wiggly little poodle tucked his chin most of the time. So I sewed the necks closed and slip the jacket over their heads, much easier. That's just my experience. You've done a terrific job here and I will incorporate your nifty opening to turn right side out, also notching the curves. Nice work.

I sew all my dog dresses / coats shut at the neck too, so much easier. I like how I can just modify the bodice i have a litle and turn it from a dress bodice to a full coat.

WOW!! That was so helpful! It was my first time sewing a pattern i found online and although my estimates were some how off with my large dog (who i made it for) It was perfect for my medium dog who looked so cute in the cross pattern thank you so much!!

Thank you for this video. My full grown puppy only weighs 3 lbs and its hard to find her clothes. I have used this pattern for shirts, dresses and a jacket. Its easy to put on and take off just volcro or unvolcro and done. I don't have to try and stuff her head or legs in any holes. 😊

you could use the pressure foot of your machine as a sewing guide, some machines have measurements on them to assist one in keeping fabric even and straight I used to practice with scrap fabric making straight lines

Jenny Whysall : For myself i'm using polar fleece fabric and sweatshirt material .For an extra shield from snow and rain, add a layer of nylon or other water-resistant material to the exterior of a coat lined with plush fleece. Thanks for watching!
