In Australia, we call corn dogs "Dagwood Dogs", and in some areas "Pluto Pups". They are sold from vans (food trucks) at the Show (fair). We also have this big fried spring-roll (egg roll) called a "Chiko roll" and a similar item full of creamed corn called a "corn jack". These are sold in places like petrol stations or school canteens (although schools are moving away from this type of food). If you enjoy the types of foods in this video, you might like ours too.

But in texas you can order "queso" in restaurants and its a specific thing. If you say "add cheese to my burger" they will ask you "what cheese would you like?" If you say "Add queso to my burger" They'll know what youre talking about. Language is a flexible thing. The more different languages you speak, youll start to see these happening allot.

The Texas state fair is NOT the biggest fair in America. The Minnesota State Fair is bigger.
@Danielalocasia7 жыл бұрын
Minnesota usually has higher average daily attendance numbers but the Texas State Fair runs for twice as many days and ends up having a larger overall attendance.
@Paul_K_7 жыл бұрын
Daniel Stuart and average daily attendance is the best measurement for how large a fair is
@Danielalocasia7 жыл бұрын
Okay but are Minnesota's numbers are inflated because their run time is shorter? If a certain number of people attend the fair every year and must do so within a smaller time frame then more people will show up daily. If the fair's run time was doubled and consistent Minnesotan fair goers attended spread out over more days then the daily attendance would fall.
@Paul_K_7 жыл бұрын
But since the fair has more people there at any given time it's going to be a bigger attraction in terms of things like space occupied, number of attractions, number of food stands, etc. It's like how football games are bigger events than baseball games even though the total attendance of baseball games is much more over the course of a year.
@Danielalocasia7 жыл бұрын
Apples and Oranges buddy, the size of sporting events is measured by media figures not attendance. How would the number of attractions be necessarily more and how are you defining "attractions" vs "events"? Because we would have far more concerts, shows, contests and competitions because we have more time to hold them. Plus there would be more food stands but not necessarily unique ones, like half of the Minnesota ones must be for fried cheese curds and ye old bucket of chocolate chip cookies.

@tosht25157 жыл бұрын
+HBY Hmmm. If you *_"always avoided clicking on..."_* because of Serena, how did you happen to click on this time?
@hby77687 жыл бұрын
The ones I definitely know I won't be interested in, I avoid. The ones that I'm curious about the topic I do click on. "Avoided" does not equate to never clicking. Forgot I should be more literal for those that have junk stuck up their ass.
@tosht25157 жыл бұрын
+HBY So Serena never really deterred you from clicking on...which contradicts the entire premise of your original comment. OK. And being literal is not necessary to convey your message. Just put some thought into what you're typing before hitting send and you'll be fine I think.
@hby77687 жыл бұрын
I should have type "most of time" instead of "always". Forgot there are people like you on the internet trying to prove something. I mean its just a figure of speech on my part and here I am needing to explain to a child when they don't understand what someone might be trying to say and its not always face value. You know those videos with the meat show without nick in it? You know like this one. So some people like me would just click on it. Its not like I'm expecting much from her anyways. Sometimes when I click and she's in it I stop halfway. Yes she really does turn me off. So I turn on the avoid mentality and click on something else. Is that stick really stuck that far you ass you need to keep coming at me. Man, I know you were looking for an opportunity to correct someone but you should move along. There is nothing here for you.
@tosht25157 жыл бұрын
+HBY The classic over-explanation. 😂 Cops will find you guilty. Psychologists will say you're insecure. Good luck, mate.
