I play 8h/day for less than 1 week (5 or 6 days) and i go for 57k on gridshot to 93k and i notice it works when you are new or your aim is not that good and you become more consistent in you shots. The bad thing is if you stop training or you train in the game you are going to play (like the workshop of overwatch and csgo) you are going to be worst on aimlabs. Literally I was platinum on overwatch and when I start aimlabs I reach diamond but when I started to practice on the game playing and pushing my self and I got close gm but I got worst on aimlabs. I recommend aimlabs and kovaks if you are new on a game or your aim is not that good cus you are going to be better and more consistent in general aspects of your aim, but I think the best option js practicing on the game cus every game has they own game style and hit boxes.

Can I just say that 1 month of aim training 1 hour everyday is way more beneficial than 3 hours for 10 days

Yes of course! That being said I think for those just testing out aim training, it's easier to commit to a 10-day challenge than 30 days, so I think it's a good starting place for those "testing the waters".

Im learning to focus on my tracking since its my worst consistent skill cuz i jerk too much due to the amount of flick shots i do and am used to smgs and shotguns and straight on fights. Just realized I never liked and commented on this video. Man, I had forgotten how much you improved from the 10 days. I just started aim training every day again a couple weeks ago and I'm seeing very quick improvement. The biggest thing I have learned through over 1,200 hours in aim trainers is exactly what you said in the video: You HAVE to challenge yourself. Honestly, if I start to actually have fun playing the scenario, I know I need to move on to something more challenging. :)
@eggstatus58243 жыл бұрын
As someone who has somewhat decent aim, I can say that aimlab is something that can't be used to improve EVERY aspect of your aim. Rather improve your ability to just hit a target or stay consistent in hitting a target. However you can't not play the game you want to get better at and still get better at it. Because every FPS game has unique movement systems that you need to learn to adapt and track to. Not to mention the fact that aim trainers give you an obvious target. Trying to use that in a normal FPS game will get you demolished. In conclusion, aimlab CAN be helpful as long as you use it for the right types of aim training, and you should always practice your aim on the game itself rather than exclusively on the aim trainer
@peregrine3400 Жыл бұрын
I definitely agree. A lot of the difficulty in games is simply the amount of things that distract a person, something that I found getting in the way of training my aim. I'd often compensate using other mechanics like movement and it didn't allow me to focus on training basic tracking as much as I needed to.
@miya60083 жыл бұрын
Aim trainers are good for honing aspects of certain skills you will be utilizing in game, but you need to actually throw yourself out there into many different games to get the full effect. It is important to experience the trial and error that comes with competing against other players, do not expect to go in and instantly flick on everyone after only a few days of training, it is a long process and it takes a while to actually be able to apply the skills you have honed using aim trainers.

doing aim labs gridshot ultimate 15 reps( 15 minutes ) before launching an FPS . Sure helps a lot. Been playing shooters since i was like 1th grade kid sniping at de_snipe_it5, but still when i started aim labs as it first launched i couldn't get more than 50k on gridshot. Now im starting my warm up with 80 and finish around 90-92. I rarely do the other routines, i jump straight into games after those 15 minutes of gridshot. Muscle memory and reflex is improving and stuff, but it is not as much of an improvement as it is for your brain and how it operates while you're shooting and most people don't realise it and expecting results after doing couple of days training is just naive. View it as both physical and psychical training, instead of just physical and you will see progress to your overall shooting.

Just a small thing if anybody is watching this now as someone that did Archery competitively it's better to practice shorter and at a higher level with good form than it is to practice more with bad form. You'll build bad habits that are harder to change. If you care about your aim you realitiscally view games as competitive so if you're a ranked fps player you'll climb higher if you spend 20 minutes to an hour before playing. However if that's not how you want to play don't it's supposed to be fun. Also training in a massive burst like this expecting to see massive improvement won't get you as far as doing even 2 weeks of an hour a day just because it's much easier to train hard and push yourself for a short burst than for a long period of time. If anything I would recommend doing it for 20-30 minutes regularly as a warm up.

Just wanna add some feedback here as a long time CSGO player (2013) and now Val player. Some people might watch this video and still write off aim training because it's only one part of being good at tactical shooters but around 12 minutes he says "I'm a bad player who can now hit good shots that surprise me" and it's really important to understand that this means as you get better at aiming you will start to make better players overall, because you now have the ability to make big plays. You get more confident as your shot improves and start to think "ok 2v1, I think one's X position and I know I can swing him and kill him".

I haven't used aim labs or any aim trainer myself, but I have only recently come back to pc after a 15 year hiatus. But I find even very basic shooting ranges in some fps games are worth spending some time with. I was playing back for blood the other day, and I was waiting for my mate to start the game. I spent the time just trying to hit all targets in quick sequence with only head shots. I tried a few other guns as well in the mix and started to enjoy it quiet abit. When the game started I just started hitting consistent head shots and weak points with absolute easy. I also have gotten pretty fast with movement by playing games like doom eternal and severed steel, dusk etc etc. And this last week everything started to fall into place all at once. Now I'm pretty damn fast and accurate, but I know I could do better and maybe hit that more pro level I see often. I wanna start playing Cs again, but I feel like I'm not quiet ready for the big leagues lol. I do like playing about on quake champions though! And have definitely started to become a problem for the enemy team, but damn 😳 some people on here are gods. I think it really depends on the game for me, because I'm either really good or not quiet good enough to get a strong kd.

As an AimTrainer dabbler, I try to use both AimLab and Kovaak. If for nothing else, then just for freshness. Now, I heard people trashing AimLab, but I haven't heard what the actual argument was. From my perspective, AimLab seems way more user friendly and organized compared to Kovaak. If I wasn't taking other peoples advice on which drills to pick in Kovaak, I'd be completely lost in the sea of tasks. the things is that aim trainer does really help you if you have an experience with fps for around 1 year or 2 years or maybe even more its just a matter of experience most people that goes into aim training is that people who want to get better and out aim and out duel people in their games. on the other hand if you are pretty new to the fps games with using a mouse and hop on to an aim trainer and expect to top frag every game is something you can't do without experience. its like saying you have the aim yet you don't have the movements or the game sense to actually back it up.

Now my records are 115k and 162k which helps my aim a lot. Only thing is while my gridshot high score is brand new yesterday the record before that was set 4 months ago. My switchtrack record is from a similar time. You really gotta push and keep going to improve, it's just like anything else. a week ago my gridshot was down to under 100k, but I grinded through TL:DR as you get better it gets harder and harder to get better

Its about how you use them, if you spend an hour in the gym doing random stuff that isn't helping what you need to improve on... It'll be useless and no improvement will be shown. Make sure you're doing your research on what tasks actually work correctly and make a genuine schedule and Incorporate it into your day

I play a higher sens on aimlab than in valorant. From a 44cm/360 to a 30cm/360 or 1.65 apex (which isn’t my current apex sens). I use aimlab to improve my click timing/discipline and hand to eye coordination, I warm up on aimlab then valorant or whatever game in going to play to calibrate my sens into my mind then hop into games. I wouldn’t recommend using aimlab as a proper warmup unless you play the same sens in every game which isn’t necessary and may be limiting depending on the game you play as I play 27cm/360 on apex which was much better than when I played my r6 360 cm

What do you think the effectiveness of an aim trainer is for someone who has a “good aim” and has reached the top skill tier of many competitive games?
@brandonfeltman74294 жыл бұрын
it will help with consistency. but no one has "perfect aim"....no one. there isnt a player in the world now or ever that has had perfect aim. i think we all know that lol, but im just saying it as a motive to still train. pro athletes perform incredible things during competitions, as well as e-athletes...they still train every day ;)

i can say for 100% for SURE that aimlabs will help increase your shot accuracy/consistency, learning this from personal experience. setting up a custom list to use to train/warm-up will absolutely help you get better. but you have to do this EVERY SINGLE DAY. dont skip or make excuses as to why you cant practice. do it every day and you improve noticeably. i have a list ive been using for a while now that warms me up, as well as allows me to shoot for high scores to improve over-all. if anyone wants this list, just let me know and ill share. also its VITAL you find the grip that fits you. it needs to be the same every time you practice, as well as during games. make sure you have good posture, and you sit in the same position at your desk EVERY TIME. it HAS to become habitual. your brain has to start filing this stuff in so it can access it easily, and having it be the same every time allows your brain to do that.

If you mourn about lost data of stats, you're not practicing aim, you're practicing aim lab.. Stats only show direction, but otherwise they mean nothing when going for "the real deal". Practice is doing things again and again and again trying to perfect the form, sharpness and reaction/muscle memory for certain situation.

I am an Apex scrub. One of my "drills" for practicing flick speed and correction before shooting is to use any semi-automatic or bolt action weapon, flick these from random target to random target, and SHOOT THE SMALL CIRCLES on the targets before flicking to new ones. I was fairly slow at first, but managed to pick up decent speed within a day without losing much accuracy, it at all.

Aimer7 is just kovaak biased. It's funny because i actually bought kovaak because of this sole reason that people claim aimlabs isnt that great, but BEFORE trying aimlabs first. I tried both now and i actually prefer aimlabs way more then kovaak. Kovaak looks like some alpha build, aimlabs is waaay more polished. Funny that aimlabs is free and kovaak is 10€ LOL As this vid states, it will definitely help you get better aim but you gotta stick with it and don't expect miracles after 10 days, aim is something you gotta keep improving over long periods of time and aimlabs is the perfect tool to help you do that in conjuction with your favorite fps game. Train scenarios that actually reflect the game you are playing, there's no point training flicking to headshots when you play battlefield.

i mean you can be medium player in any game by just playing causal matches without ranked, and it will be better solution to aim problems, because not in every aim program the things are going in the same way with the game, for example to what you will use target tracking aim training in Valorant, there is no lazer guns to make this movements(target tracking is for more complex game like Battlefield 1 or 5 where the bullets actually have real movements, when u are using snipers you have to track your target's where they will go and shout the spot where he will go to predict but in games like cs-go and Valorant there is no bullet reality the bullets going directly to the spot where u are aiming withouth curving and etc.), in the aim bots you have just need to train targets(small(from far away) and large(from closer) shoting, other training things you can easy achive while playing bunch of casual matches(3-4 hours for day is enough). Just puting yourself in that position where u having the need of tracking every point,score that u having or improvments in these programs making you stresed, and seeing you losing progres making you depresed, but in casual matches is more free, just you are playing the game.

I never used a aim trainer even when I was pro gaming back then. I would play some repetitive games back then to get warmed up sometimes. But for the most part I would just get into a MP game like Call of Duty or Black Hawk Down or Battlefield 1942 DC mod give me 2 to 3 games then I'm warmed up. I miss my pro gaming days at least I'm still good at my age. Soon I will be doing tournaments after I can get a video card or new PC.

FFA is just objectively better. Bigger challenge, harder practice, you play the actual game, you play against players that are waay better than you, you get rewarded for headshots, movement matters (especially important for games like Overwatch since movement is like 90 percent of your aim)

Aimlabs is really bad compared to Kovaaks and Aimbeast. The only upside to Aimlabs are that it’s free. Kovaaks has insane customization and +7k scenarios and a workshop to make your own scenarios or edit other scenarios. I’m not sure how many scenarios Aimbeast has but it has even more scenario customization options and game settings. There are screenshots of the Aimlabs devs admitting that Aimlabs is more for data collection than actual improvement as you said. Because Aimlabs has so few scenarios, you can’t really create an accurate routine for a specific game and don’t have many options to improve issues you have in aiming. Kovaaks on the other hand has +7k scenarios and hundreds of guides/routines made by good aimers or Kovaaks grinders for anything you can think of. I understand that Aimlabs is free but if you compare it to the other big aim trainers it’s absolutely awful. There’s a reason the devs use 99% of the money they have for sponsorships with streamers. Streamers literally get paid to play and speak highly of Aimlabs. “Which Aim Trainer is Best?” by Prosper is a good KZbin video explaining the differences between the main aim trainers.
@eathletelabs4 жыл бұрын
I agree that other aim trainers have better options and more variety. My only fear is the paralysis by analysis effect. When players first consider using an aim trainer, they may get overwhelmed with all the options and opinions of what trainer to use. I think it's important to just start somewhere and build the habit of aim training. If that means using aim lab, I think it's a great start, as long as they customize the scenarios to challenge themself or upgrade to a different aim trainer later on. But, great points here, thanks for the comment!
@Magazar4 жыл бұрын

The Creator Studio (map creator) is planned to be coming out this month, so the number of scenarios and customization won't be an issue soon. Also, Aim Lab is much better for tracking your performance imo. Seeing if you're doing above your personal average or below average will always be a better metric for improvement than just the high score, and you can still check what your high score is at the same time if you want.
