I feel for your friend April. My first cruise was to Bermuda. I was 26 and I was so seasick that I didn't take another Cruise until I was 40. I got seasick again and realized that I wasn't going to ruin any more Vacations. So I started taking an over-the-counter once a day non-drowsy Bonine every night before bed, starting the night before the cruise, and I have never had another problem. I've been on transatlantic cruises where it really got rough. Other people were sick but not me. I am loving these Alaska Vlogs. I don't want them to end!

We loved the food at the Local, especially the pretzel bites!! . The Bliss is a beautiful ship, we really enjoyed Jersey Boys and the Beatles tribute band in the Cavern Club. I can’t remember her name, but the young lady at the Buffet entrance that has the spray bottle of hand sanitizer, she is SO sweet! Always smiling 😃

Goodbye Alaska, it was nice seeing you again! Food Republic is awesome when you go with a group of people so that you can try multiple menu items, when you go alone you are stuck with only 4 unless you want to purchase additional. Thanks for sharing :)

I love Food Republic! The skewers were amazing. I missed getting my magnet on the Joy. They have a much smaller gift shop, very little in the way of NCL stuff. No bakery or gelato shop, either.

It’s awesome to see go karting on a cruise ship. I’ve heard that Alaska can be hot especially as it doesn’t get dark much. I’ve used chopsticks b4 and found I could use them. The Touchscreen looks awesome!!!

We've been on 3 Bliss cruises and the only thing I never liked at The Local were those pretzel bites (which I always found odd since I love them everywhere else on the ship) WELL your boy nailed it within seconds..... no salt.... where's the salt????? Good job you!

Ketchikan looks like such a chill little town...and it's nice to come back to some good eats! I'd like to try the chili myself. And I understand about spaghetti...my mom's spaghetti is still my favorite food in the world. And I'd love to try Food Republic...such a nice variety of small plates...and I love me some sushi, so I'd really be doing it up there! I'm curious about that Macedonian Mudslide coming up in the next episode...

Happy Saturday everyone! 6:15 - I find that although they all look so decadent, cruise ship desserts are kinda tasteless. They look like they’re going to be super sweet, and then end up being (like you said) kinda wahhhwahhhh

My first cruise was for my birthday but we didn't know about ordering a cake before hand. We were on a Carnival cruise to Canada and there was no cake for 7 days! I've never been on a cruise since that didn't have cake available somewhere every day. That cake looked amazing even if it wasn't spice-y like carrot cake.

I am enjoying this series so much especially because I just got off the ship from hell. If you ever consider a cruise in Australia please do not go with P&O Pacific Dawn. I had to pay for Burgers, Hot Dogs, Pizza and Icecream. The only thing I did not pay for was the Rust on my balcony and the Filthy windows throughout the ship. The food was always cold in the restaurant and buffet. The food on the Bliss looks so good.

I love cruising but it does make me so tired. I always want to take advantage of everything but in the end I also want to nap because of the time change I'm not use to, early morning excursions, jetlag, the rocking boat, unlimited food, and hot sun.

How would I know if I'm prone to getting seasickness or motion sickness? Is getting on a ship the only way to find out?
@EECCTravels5 жыл бұрын
I know you can tell somewhat of motion sickness if you have trouble riding in the backseat of a car. But a ship’s motion is a lot more. I really don’t know the best way to gauge it.
