Today, I eat one of my favorite street food in a Parisian park... ALONE.

I mostly eat alone when in Paris and am never bothered - apart from in the evening when the atmosphere feels different, as there’s more families and couples etc.

@@FrenchWithElle I sometimes take food back to the hotel or find somewhere that looks relaxed or my last option is to grab something like a falafel that’s easy street food in le marais (my fav place to stay). 😬

I visit Paris every year for a week or ten days. I always go alone, because if I go with a friend, I end up speaking English. At a restaurant alone, inside or out, I’ll speak with the waiter in my mediocre French, and sometimes people at the next table will start a conversation in French, asking where I’m from etc. Those are my favorite moments in France. And my French gets better every time.

I enjoy how you describe the food (the French make eating such a pleasurable experience). I travel solo so yes, I eat alone at restaurants, cafes and in parks. That park looks lovely and more peaceful.I still love Jardin du Luxembourg 🥰

I eat alone plenty of times in restaurants. I think in my 20s i was self- conscious. As i got older, i cared less about the opinions of strangers that i would never see again.

I think it's what many people in their 20s feel like! But with age, you care less and less about the unimportant stuff
