The one time I tried that brand I wasn't impressed. It could have just been that batch, but the mochi texture was all wrong. It was grainy and tasted weird. Maybe I got one that thawed and re-froze idk

They also usually have frozen fruits and vegetables, as well as rice, beans, pasta, and other kitchen basics. So if you want to eat a more "whole foods" centered diet it is still totally an option :)

Jamaican Beef Patties: Golden Krust is a decent option for frozen, but definitely get the fresh ones when you can! The texture is more flaky and crispy with soft filling. At least where I am, Golden Krust is rrally good for a chain restaurant, but definitely try local, too!

When you pretty much shopped dollar tree for most your life cause you couldn’t afford much more or the bulk price at regular stores…. The most heart breaking situation is when they started the $5 dollar ally. 😂😅 but as a much smarter financially adult, I now use dollar tree for items like the kind vegan ice cream that’s 7.99 at Harris teeter and 4.99 at Walmart, $1.25 for us dollar tree shoppers. I love this installment. When i was in college i would get some staples at the dollar store and was surprised at the amount of decent food available. Most of it is ingredients with a long shelf life but the snacks and sweets were good too. I just think it's important to support business like this that serve communities that don't get a chance to try quality food without them.
