Yeah, I met a rude manager at a restaurant too. Or no, *_den_* actually, at my university. I threw a sandwich basket in the garbage can, and she told me it wasn't disposable. She took it out and, I think explained why it wasn't supposed to be thrown away but rather put on the dish conveyer belt. I apologized for my honest mistake and she said, "It's okay. Just don't let it happen again." It wasn't stern and harsh per se--more casual in tone, if that makes sense. Still, I think that was a little rude of her, don't you think? Could've just left it at "It's okay."
