Don’t eat balot that are cook anywhere abroad, eat balot only when you go to the Philippines. There’s a certain way of cooking the balot.

Sure, it must be timed-cooked, not 1 hour of boiling, I rhink it should be cooked in 2 to 3 hours. Next time, ask the vendor for 18th day balut, where the embryo is covered with egg white and dont open it, just eat it one time or 2 bites.

No most Filipino are eating Balot..no need to look just put salt & vinegar is good taste . This Balot is good for body even you are tired fr your job..traditional for pilipino food ...but I'm so happy to see u guys. Next time pls. Just check balut where you buy but in Philippines is the best ...tips balut are only 16 to 17 days is good thanks. & Cook well.

I just saw your channel. I agree better to eat balot in the Philippines than abroad. Somehow some pinoys abroad who cook balot dont do it correctly. Sad part is your wife first time eating balot experience wasnt good she might not try it again unless you show her the real balot sold on the streets in Pinas. hehe

Hahaha great fun guys! Mukhang matanda na yong balut na nabili nyo kaya kitang kita na ang kabuuan ng sisiw! Just to let you know, balut are incubated duck eggs, incubated for at least 12days. From the 13th-18th day it can be sold in the market as raw eggs. It is during this 13-18 days period that it is ideal to cook the eggs so that the chick fetus is not so big and that the red and white part of the eggs can still be tasted. If cooking is done after the 18th day, you get a chick fetus which is big with the head, the body, and the extremities highly visible, including, yes, the feathers! Kaya kakadiri ng kainin ang balut pag ganun. Note that a full grown duck chick comes out of its shell from the 28th day onwards, kaya it's not unusual to get a chick from the egg when the balut is not cooked immediately, say you let the eggs in a warm environment uncooked for more than 10days hehe

I used to eat balot when I was young. Balot plus San Miguel beer makes one strong. Now I rarely eat it to avoid too much cholesterol. The chick inside is tasty with vinegar and a bit of salt. Bdw, when you are abroad and see someone who looks like a Filipino, just say balot and he or she may respond “penoy “.

Im not a fan of balut... but i do eat it when able. I never have it with vinegar, but with just salt! 😊😊😊 Only buy from a reputable or highly reccomeded vendor or seller there... bad balut is the worst!

You may eat just the red part or the egg yolk. It's delicious that gives strenght but low-blood people are advisable to eat that. But if you want a good one, just buy ten day raw-balut eggs and you cook it by yourself to be sure. Never buy balut eggs outside because you never know if the balut-eggs are almost full-grown chick inside.
