Bourdain was a poet to the core, the saddest part is that I had to write "was"

This one is especially interesting and sad at the same time. The comparisons of what it is now vs when it was filmed says volumes. (30:55-31:20) I'm glad I had the opportunities to see it then.

After watching roadrunner these later episodes are much more difficult to watch. It was the beginning of Anthony losing himself. If you told him he’s arrogantly stop a subject in the middle of them telling of their heartbreaking story he’d feel shame. I can’t imagine how hard it must have been as one of the crew members. Incase anyone feels I’m projecting or perceiving these thoughts I’m not. I’m referencing what members of the crew described themselves.

Didn't really feel like a Parts Unknown episode. Christopher Doyle is a bit too much. I always preferred Bourdain when he just hung around with regular local people. As he got older he seemed to try and cram famous people and his famous friends into his shows. It's became less about the place, culture and food.

Bourdain was a hypocrite. He always harps on about colonialism in Negative way. Yet HK under British rule was preserved. I grew up in HK and now under China it’s not the same. You may as well just be going to just another large City anywhere in modern China! HK used to have as one man said here…it’s own unique flavour of “East meeting West”! I loved it so much. What a shame.
