Watching this makes me realize how well I had it back home in Okinawa. Miss the food my mom and grandmother cooked. I want that book :)

I spent a year on Okinawa starting in 1966 and I wish they had those open air markets and street food back then. I would love to return to the island and see how much it has changed.

you can get your omegas from hemp seeds or chis seeds. Hemp seeds have lots of omega and ten grams of protein for 2 table spoons. I would recommend eating this instead of fish.

They take up the food that someone is selling and put it against their hair? Very hygenic:( someone is supposed to EAT that.

The so called "doctor" said they mostly eat plant base but they still need a little "protein" in their diet? Hello? what's the primary source of protein? PLANTS! All proteins come from plants.

If you're Asians, it tastes better to choose the Okinawa diet over other blue zones. It's what I would do.

Right off the bat. Spam bad,...and I agree. Tuna good because it is loaded with Omega 3 fatty acids. Ahhhh Ok,...and Tons of Mercury. At Least eat a SMALL fish like Anchovies or Sardines so it is not Loaded up.

Like he says, the unhealthy American culture is creeping into the population. Those smokers represent the people who abandon tradition.

Little too much focus on meat and fish which isn't even consumed at the end. Also makes up such a small percentage of their diet anyway

This "joke" on the account of "pork", is not funny at all. What a disappointment! I was so glad to find this clip, as the Blue Zone Diet truly interest me. Yet that pathetic joke was so unprofessional! It is one thing to "eat" a pig body (3 years old child intelligence) and another story alltogether to make fun of an abused body. What a shame. Not professional at all!
