One thing people miss when coming to Italy is Italy...daily life, real Italy. It they do a little research they can rent a small condo or house as a base for a few days, attend local farmers markets for food and live "Italian" for a few days or more. I also loved the gluten free dishes available at the fair, totally unexpected!!

We try to help our guests at Le Mura Villa Tuscany have that experience.

Wholeheartedly agree! Nothing better than the local markets and getting into the small towns. Too bad we can't bring much of it back with us.

I read some books on people lived in Tuscany. For sure they enjoyed living in there very much, but there are ups and downs of living in there. I got the impression that first of all one definitely must go there for a holiday. If you go there to live your career expectations must be at mimimum level or consider either working for a local shop or open a local produce shop.In that case master Italian language. Some people who go there to live get the taste of Tuscany life, then leave. Then they take with them the experience of living in there which is equally very valuable..From whatever angle you look at it is well worth visiting there, learning the culture, tasting the food, contributing to the local economy, enjoying the art and beaty!😀

Great to see another ‘day in the life’ video showing local traditions. I stopped off there for refreshments with friends as we cycled through the region in September, such a contrast seeing it so quiet in your video now the colder weather has arrived.

These Fairs are really for locals at this time of year and it is on over two weekends. We went on Saturday which is a working day for many.

Ciao Celia and Enzo. Lovely food fair. When Mum was young she would ride her bicycle up to the Garfagnana. The beans bank was good to see. Celia you look nice with earrings. Was that snow you were showing us up top of the mountain? Has the heavy rain stopped. 💖🦘🦘

It always amazes me how previous generations walked and cycled around. We have a friend whose father during the war often walked between Barga and Lucca. The fair was full of many varieties your Mother would have recognized . Those tastes are quite exquisite.

Love the fair and that you did close-ups of some of the products. It all makes me want to be there! Thanks for the video

Loved that you showed the fair menu and that it showed that there are gluten-free dishes available. ❤

Gluten free is now really easy in Italy except at small bars for breakfast. These producers are really special people with a passion and knowledge that they share. Talking to them is not only a joy but an education.

I also look for gluten free and what a surprise to see in a not touristy place.

You usually find gluten free even in small local restaurants. It is interesting that some people with gluten sensitivity rather than allergy find these ancient grains don't give them problems.

Looks like a great fair. We love visiting fairs/ markets like this. Are there during the summer? We've just arrived back from Lucca this week and missing it already. The weather has been fine here since we got back but it's just started raining again today. We had quite a bit of rain in Lucca it it was warm rain, it's freezing here already!.

The quality of the products is incredible. I realise how lucky we are to have these passionate small producers. The rain is less but the temperature has dropped here as well.

We were just in Castelnuovo on a tour of the northern part of Lucca. Beautiful little town. Too bad this little fair$market wasn't going on when we were there. We will have to time our trip better the next time.

This time of year there are a lot of these festivals celebrating the produce that has been harvested.

Is it also possible to make a video suggesting which wine goes with which Italian cheese and a recepie for foccacia?
