My boys and I found Uncle Ben a few years ago and have been weekly episode watchers ever since. My 11 year old has decided he wants to be a Wildlife Rescuer too. At 11, he researched degrees and classes and announced he wanted to be a zoologist or wildlife biologist. He has become so incredibly curious about all the animals, bugs, birds, and critters everywhere we go. I love seeing him really enjoying nature all around us with such a curious love. Thanks Uncle Ben!

The best part of watching Ben's content is taking note of the immense work he has to put into maintaining his animals and keeping his farm above par. He layers it in jokes and sarcasm but you can clearly see the sincerity and passion he has for wildlife rescue. I can only dream of having my shit together like that.

Interestingly, that "bamboo" you were given isn't actually a species of bamboo. It's a plant called Dracaena sanderiana and it's not closely related to bamboo, however it is widely sold as bamboo or "lucky bamboo" at shops like Ikea or a million other places. It only looks somewhat like bamboo because you can cut sections of the stem off and leaves will grow and give a bamboo-like appearance. However once you let it grow for a long time period it'll totally change its appearance.

My first cat was one someone found on the side of the road when I was in middle school. She was only a few weeks old and once I saw her, I didn't want to leave her where they couldn't properly care for her. So my mom let me take her home and I went through feeding her with a bottle and waking up at 2 or 5am to feed her. I would take her everywhere to be able to feed her when necessary. The day before starting school she learned how to eat by herself. She was a great cat ❤

Ben is honestly the only "influencer" i would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. These videos are multi layered little pieces of art. All his values, spiritual nature, love of animals, mental and physical habits, practical skills, editing style and skill, religious beliefs, friends etc are all in here, presented with a good dose of humour and humility. Truly, one of the best channels on youtube without a doubt. He's building a modern biblical allegory in real life is what it feels like. Very smart guy, completely under the radar mostly as well it seems, though people can sense it subconsciously which might be even better.

I rescued a 4 week old kitten 10 days ago. Haven’t named her. Right now she’s “The Littles”. We’re waiting for her to be ready for vacs. Then she’s ready to go to yum yum forever home!! It is truly an amazing experience to raise kittens. I bottle fed my two cats since they were one week old. Their eyes had just opened and they still had their ears folded. I spent over a month waking up in the middle of the night to feed them. They're gorgeous creatures nowadays ❤

I've never rescued kittens that were young enough to need bottle feeding, but i have 4 cats who i rescued as kittens that were very very sick. Two of them had terrible eye infections and are now blind in one of their eyes. One of those was completely feral and I was only able to finally catch her because she was too sick and tired to get away from me. Now she will scream at you for attention and bite you if you stop petting her before she's satisfied with the attention. Plus I ahve a cat who the vets thought they'd have to euthanize at first who I got back to health, she now is called Slurp cause of the sounds she makes but she's twice as a big as the vets thought she'd be able to be and lively as ever. Most rewarding experience of my life has been taking care of animals in need.

The kitten thing hits home. My cat that passed a few years ago was raised from a stray kitten. My mom bottle fed her the way Uncle Ben described. We had her for nearly 2 decades. Same with her current cat too. Bottle raised from a stray.

A cat was kind enough to abandon 4 kittens who had not opened their eyes yet under our porch. We weren't as good at the 'adooting them out' part, so we just have 4 extra cats now. They're the sweetest brothers you ever did see, and they love each other and us so much.
