@BasiongMacunat3 жыл бұрын
I think I have to disagree with this. At least in my own opinion, just to clarify. The first few minutes of this vid was super awkward. Unlike the last ep with ten, back then I could reall feel his comfort. But still glad that Junny has joined the get real fam. 👍

Is it possible for the producers or editors to add on the screen the definition of Korean words that are thrown out there? Like when they were talking about gyopo, they didn’t explain what it was (I knew) but this happens a lot and it would help us non-Koreans to follow along. 😊

okay now i'm starting to get used to and comfortable with this season. i like how Junny add another perspective in this podcast it is so refreshing. and shoutout to Corbyn he's a great guest in Get Real. some things that i love in this episode - Ashley add another sus word with "hanging" after "buns" back in season 1 lol - scene when Ashley and Junny enthusiastically describing the k-drama to Corbyn and Peniel is sooo hilarious - as for the story about naked people in Germany i can understand cz i'm also from Indonesian. it's just the culture/norm here to dress decently and not expose your body

Corbyn, please don't loose your Daegu / Gyeongsang-do satoori. Show your roots loud and proud! And when the option for "England" came up on the pop quiz, I legit asked myself if they meant "UK" or if they actually just meant England. Because those of us who've been to the UK (particularly not the English cities) know that there's a huge difference between those two terms. Is it just me thinking this?
@poppylovesu23 жыл бұрын
In London in the uk, people never say hello to each other unless they know you. Or even make small talk. But in smaller towns/cities you can say hello to people and mostly they will say hello back.

Wow I thought the term FOB was just something us Polynesians say. Growing up we were also reffered to as FOBs or freshies because of where we come from as immigrants or having broken English. This podcast is breaking Cultural barriers and I'm here for it💜🙌

I was going to say the same thing. Really didn't know the term FOB was utilized in other cultures. I'm also Polynesian and had same treatment of being called FOB, freshy or even worst a coconut because of my island background. This only happened when I was alot younger and never heard this term since being an adult. The world has definitely changed and more accepting of most cultures. Great podcast as always👏

Being mixed with the 4 major ethnic cultures for awhile, it was pretty hard for me to find my own identity. Being raised by a mother who is Scandinavian and Mexican, and a father who is African American and Filipino. Growing up, I was definitely the alien on both sides of the family. In school, I was never really associated with one specific group, but could talk to multiple different groups because of not just how diverse I was with ethnic backgrounds, but also in the way that I dressed, talked, the music that I listened to and the food that I ate. It wasn't until I graduated that I started to really dive deep and have a deeper connection with my Asian side. I love the other ethnic sides of me, but my Asian culture is where I feel I am most connected with a part of me that feels most unique. Shout out to all the mixed kids out there!
