Yo guys, I am still in the state of Manipur. Manipur is a state in northeastern India, known for its rich history and diverse ethnic makeup. It shares borders with Myanmar and several other Indian states like Nagaland, Mizoram, and Assam. The state has a population of approximately 2.8 million, with Imphal as its capital. In this video, I am checking out the local food scene. I have hear that Manipur is famous for its fish curry or fish thali so I had to test it out! Enjoy!

As a Meitei from Manipur, Thanks for visiting my state. Note: Manipuris aren't like HIndi speaking people. We speak Manipuri language, which is our native language. So, 'Namaste' is a Hindi word and people won't usually respond to it. So try greeting with ' KHU RUM JARI' or "YAI FA REH' Recommendation. 1) Visit EMA MARKET, which is Asia's biggest market run by womenfolks only. 2) Visit KANGLA PALACE, IMPHAL a place which holds Manipur history. 3) Try eating SINGJU (organic vegetable salad), Its found almost everywhere in Imphal. Ask any locals for its availability 4) Visit LOKTAK LAKE Moirang. Asia's biggest floating lake. There you can see SANGAI ANIMAL, the only species which is found nowhere in the world but there. 5) Visit Khongjom War memorial 6) Visit Relief camps where many displaced peoples are taking refuge. and many more.

I will tell the list: 1.Maroi thongba(Chives curry), 2. Eronba(Mashed potato and vegetable with fermented fish curry), 3.Uti(Thick pea and baking powder curry), 4. Fish curry(Nga curry), 5. Khang Soi (Light Soup, made with vegetables, fermented fish, fish, fish stew?), 6.Dal (Pea or bean curry), 7. Marum Thongba(Fish eggs curry), 8.Chana Thonga(Chickpea curry), 9.Chak Haou(Purple rice and sweet milk dessert), 10. Another fish curry(Big chunk type) 11. Pickle 12. Kang Gau(Fried vegetables)

Everything correct but I would say no. 9 is Black Rice. It has GI tag and there are currently plans to export this particular Black Rice from our state of Manipur to Europe.

There's manipuri restaura in safdarjung part of new delhi. I have tried uti, meats varieties and veggies. All are soo mouth smacking. Chak hao is fantastic 😊. Overall all of the items are flavourful

Hai, bro thank u for ur visit during this disturb days. That full plate of food, with varieties of cuisine is call chakluk,that means bro rice plate with varieties of seasonal vegetables. Their is a way to eat this food items accordingly. For some knowledge, alway start with a simple boil vegetable call it champud then follow with oily items, less garam masala locally available herb plant. That green one call uttiii made of greenery vegetables with yellow or green peas. Help in digest it must be taken after oily stuff. Then take Black rice pudding, it is made of milk, ghee, nuts, milk. End with sour fruit pudding. At last take salt in hand and wash ur hand. Go to Emma market food corner there they will cook good authentic daily home style cuisine. U will find breakfast, lunch, evening snack,. Have a nice day in our lovely state bro.
