chris, in india,pakistan, and nepal, whenever a foreigner refers to our food , they say that it must be spicy, but spicy does not means full of chilly 90 percent of time, spicy just means a lot of spices that balance each other. Hot and spicy are different words.

I have been to Nepal 4 times, I am returning in 8 days. My first stop is Legendary Fresh Food Kitchen in Thamel. He is my friend and makes the best crunchy fried momos. Tell him Didi Angela sent you:) I also often stay at the Kathmandu Peace Home in Nayabazar, it's a 7 min walk to Thamel, also friends of mine:) very reasonably priced and the guys are the best!!

Actually terai is another region of Nepal. Nepal has 3 geographical regions such as Terai which is also called plan land of Nepal, Hilly region which have hills and Kathmandu is in Hilly region and last Himalayan region where you can find mountains. Moreover these geographical regions have different climates, people and ethnicity. People in Terai have Indonesian facial features whereas people of hilly and Himalayan have Mongolian face features. It will help you to know about the people's and their culture. Do visit Terai too to know the different culture from here shown in video. You will come into an encounter with plain lands, greenery, farming different from the hilly region and different languages too.
