It's been a long time not seeing Aiko and Aiko's friends in videos ever since they did "Elementary school rules in Japan". Does anybody remember that video?
@theloniousm4337
@theloniousm4337 5 жыл бұрын
It wasn't that long since the "school rules" video. I remember the "Japanese breakfast" video. I ordered a square tamagoyaki egg pan on Amazon after watching that vid and tried to make the rolled up eggs aka "tamagoyaki" and found some natto in the asian grocery store. I still can't make tamagoyaki as well as Aiko's mom - I haven't figured out how to get good even heat without a gas stove. But it tastes great - would never have thought of making sweet eggs.
@RiderOftheNorth1968
@RiderOftheNorth1968 3 жыл бұрын
@@theloniousm4337 You have, most likely, bought a tamagoyaki pan designed for gas/flame heater. Thera are other types for electric or induction heater. One tip: Heat the pan on medium heat already from the beginning and let it uniformly heated, this will take a bit more time but it makes it a bit easier to get a nice result. And remember to oil the whole pan-surface before every adding of egg. Good luck and enjoy.

Asakusa was one of my favorite spots to visit in Tokyo. My friend's mom took me there when he was working, and I didn't realize it, but she had a small Japanese-English phrase book tucked inside her sleeve so she could communicate with me. So sweet! To say thank you, I bought a bouquet of flowers for her on my way home the next day. Little did I know... I purchased funeral flowers! She was good-humored about it, but that was one of the many cultural lessons I learned in Japan. Can't wait to return. Greg- Once again, another beautiful video!

@Gary Oak lol. not grown up adult certainly. i think for those of us who have watched this channel for some time, it's just surprising to see the changes as they grow. it's especially noticeable in the preteen and teenage years because of puberty. so that's why you get a lot of comments like "oh she grew up so much," or "oh she got so tall.," etc. Because you know it's like the kids are growing up in front of our eyes. I don't think anyone here has said she's a grown up adult.... it's more like she's grown up for her age. Or I suppose another way of saying it is she's mature and well behaved. Does that make sense?
