The best part about this vlog is the title. ,you understood the southerners sentiments and called it" in SAIGON" instead of hcm city. Not many locals call hcm city anymore. Extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, intelligent and insightful,,keep up the good work.

@@WhatThePho I am from New York. I am a touring DJ, or at least used to be before Covid. I get a booked to play in HCMC several times a year. I had a one month Asian tour for the month of August that I was scheduled to play in Korea, Japan, and Vietnam. However, that was canceled due to Covid. So now I am stuck in New York since last March. Seeing your videos makes me miss Vietnam and my many friends there. At some point in the future, I would like to move to HCMC.

Hello beautiful! I am planning to visit Vietnam again this year after about 16 years :( I'm hoping to eat all the oc that I can!! Do you have any tips on how to decrease my chances on getting sick? Can I eat oc on the first day of landing? I love oc so much and I'm willing to risk it. My family members have all been sick from it when visiting Vietnam, however it's not stopping me because I want it so bad. Any tips will be appreciated!! Love from Sydney, Australia!

I love the fresh snails down here in Vũng Tàu at the night seafood market. I'm a fan of the green chili sauce for shellfish, including lobster. Maybe because I put red chili sauce on just about everything else I eat here in Việt Nam.

Love the video!!! My plan is to try snails the next time I visit! I tried it for the first time couple weeks ago. My parents heard me talking about trying snails so my dad bought some and learned how to cook it by watching a few KZbin videos. I wish I watched your video first, because I just realized I ate it all wrong! 😂 I didn’t know to remove certain parts of the snail before eating it 😂😬 Oh, and where did you stay in the US??? It sounds a little country and I love it!!

So..I have watched a bunch of ur videos...is there any food in Vietnam that isn't "sweet"? As an American, I can only relate meat and fish dishes with Chinese sweet and sour, what do Vietnamese put in all their dishes to make everything sweet?

Yes, there are a lot of food that are not sweet haha, especially the northern part of Vietnam. I fell like they put extra sugar while cooking the food in America to fit with American appetite, but in vietnam the food is not that sweet. People usually use sugar, honey or msg to sweeten the food
