A huge bucket wheel #excavator eats its way mercilessly through the landscape. So far thousands of people have been resettled. The villages were destroyed. People have no chance of ever going back to their roots. The excavators are among the largest in the world.
The coal phaseout in Germany is scheduled for 2038.

Ein riesiger #Schaufelradbagger frisst sich gnadenlos durch die Landschaft. Bisher wurden tausende von Menschen umgesiedelt. Die Dörfer wurden zerstört. Die Menschen haben keine Chance, jemals wieder zu ihren Wurzeln zurückzukehren. Die Bagger gehören zu den größten der Welt.
Der Kohleausstieg in Deutschland ist für 2038 geplant.

So ein Schaufelradbagger steht auch noch auf meiner ToDo Liste. Vorallem ist der in Betrieb 🤯 Sehr schön geworden. Natürlich zurück gesubbed ✌🏼

you forgot the destroyed landscape. And people complaine about wind turbines.... Lignite is the least efficient fossil fuel there is alongside oil shale...
