You asked why Copenhagen, well Copenhagen is famous for their pastries and deserts and food in general. Sydney was tasting a little bit of everything just to get an understanding of how some chefs build their dishes, how things taste and so forth. What Carmy did was not ok. He had plans with Sydney and could have told Claire he was busy that day and asked if he could help out another day. Also if they are supposed to be partners he needs to include her in big decisions.

I don't think Syd was so much giving up at the end there, so much as just expressing exhaustion and stress. she's basically doing all this legwork and has a lot of people in her ear telling her to be wary of the situation she's currently putting all of her energy into. not to mention her "partner" is leaving her hanging often and not communicating the way he should.

Sydney is enjoying the sundae at Margie's Candies, at the corner of Armitage and Western. It's every bit as delicious as it looks and Margie's makes their own hot fudge (and other syrup toppings) right in the store. So whenever you're back in Chicago, that's where to go!

Guarantee that Syd's dining adventure was put on the business credit card as an R&D expense. She easily spent a few hundred dollars on all of that food and, no, she did not eat all of it. Most likely she took a bite or two of each item to get an idea of the taste and mouthfeel.

From Chicago, there was a lot of restaurants that closed due to Covid. These specialized places (for cookies, cakes, etc) do well because they are really good. So if my sister wants that special cake, cookie, or cup cake, they KNOW where to go.

Rana - my family's hot fudge recipe: INGREDIENTS: 1 stick of salted butter 1 cup of sugar 1/4 cup of milk 1 square of unsweetened baker's chocolate (1/4 oz) DIRECTIONS: In a small uncovered pot over medium heat, melt all four ingredients together while stirring. Once it is completely melted, up the heat slightly to bring to a boil, continuing to stir. Upon reaching a full boil, stop stirring and wait exactly one minute. Remove the pot from heat and wait 5-10 minutes before using. Tip: for runnier hot fudge, boil less (45 seconds). For more caramelized fudge, boil a bit longer (up to 90 seconds). It thickens more as it cools. Enjoy!

Carmy: doesn't give her the correct number because he doesn't want to be distracted from his work. Claire: instead of taking the hint, goes out of her way to get his real number and guilt shame him into being in contact with her. I hate the character so much.

Claire was Carmy’s palatte reset 😂 Anyway, Kasama is a Filipino restaurant; in our language, it means companion (noun) or be together (verb). It’s funny that Syd is alone at Kasama while Carmy is with someone.

Entirely fair interpretation; HOWEVER the pause he expresses right before giving the last few digits and how Jeremy portrays that specific moment suggest a maybe almost impulsive, unconscious selection of the wrong number, also informed by the opening of this episode where the character says he had to google “fun”

It wasn't. He articulated himself very well throughout the conversation and all of a sudden couldn't remember his own number? Carmy knows he's supposed to focus on the task at hand but since he's avoidant instead of just telling Claire that he'd be busy with the restaurant he deliberately gave her the wrong number.
