hey asa! i noticed you caught a ‘black carp’. just to inform you, this is actually called a smallmouth buffalo! the way you can tell is that carp have whiskers, and buffalo do not! also, buffalo is a delicious fish to eat, especially when they get big like that! you can make ribs out of them, because the rib bones are so thick. they are also great in steaks and deep fried nuggets. happy fishing!

I just found your channel about 2 months ago... my husband and I have been binge watching since then and really have enjoyed watching you grow since your beginning.... We are in our 50's and have just, in the last few years, started to become addicted to fishing and you've inspired us! We work opposite shifts and only get about 2 hours a day during the week to see each other so we sit with our dinner, pray together now, and watch you and "Me Anchient" videos! We've even subscribed to his channel and love watching him taste test the military food! Way better than cable television! We have a challenge for you! 48 hour - $20 "dollar store" challenge catch and cook! Get limit of 20 (dollar) items in 20 minutes and no other supplies. No poles, tents, things from home.. just 20 things from the dollar store (tax doesn't count) and find/ make your shelter, fire, cooking tools.. water, bedding, lures, poles, etc .. then forage, catch and cook!

That bass that you kept is a largemouth. A spotted bass usually has a rough patch on the tongue. Largemouth bass can have one as well, but not as often.

If you want to cook carp, you need to score the fish deep and close to each score, the deep fry it until its crispy. That way the small bones are crispy and wont bother you
