Omg !!! When I saw the nut I thought :” oh it reminds me of growing up in Brazil eating baru(baa-roo), “and then I saw the name barukas and heard the story and I was so happy going around the room telling everyone about how great that but is and couldn’t even finish the video, I had to come and comment, after subscribing and excited to go buy some. Last year my mom came to visit and she brought a hand full for me, and we talk about how hard it have become to find those wild fruits and nuts. My dream was to be able to grow so many of those power fruits I grew up eating and that we can no longer find in the wild or the market.

I love getting to know the people behind a label. I had no idea about his strong ethics! I just wish we could buy Barukas in Europe :( I'd much rather support a company that does so much good nowadays and not the nut mafia companies that sell here and basically own the market, selling nuts extremely expensive while paying miserable prices to producers. What are your thoughts on protein bar? Of course vegan and clean ones, like the bars from bulk powders? I've been eating a really clean vegan diet from 9 years now, but I always have these big cravings for chocolate and I can satisfy them with a piece of these chocolate bars. I'm just curious on your thoughs and also of all the people reading this, it would be really useful❤️
@EatMoveRest5 жыл бұрын
Most protein bars have unnecessary ingredients, and lots of fat in them, as well. You’d be better off with a protein powder like SunWarrior in a healthy whole food smoothie, if you are looking for a good protein supplement, that is! We don’t really have any good recommendations for protein bars! How about just a bite of a dark chocolate bar for dessert? That’s what we do sometimes!

Wow to Darin! What an amazing guy with a beautiful vision. I love his yurt as well. We love all the same snacks 💚 My Littlest Little Uriah who is 17 months old loves loves loves dates with peanut butter and hemp seeds! All my kids love dates! We have "introduced" the medjool date to so many people, it's crazy 🙆 We love the summer to go for a walk and gather Mulberries... These folks have two large trees and do not eat them at all, and they have allowed us to take as much as we would like. Big snack or even breakfast favorite around here is the rice cakes with nut butter on them. And of course the 🥑 avocado....my two youngest devour at least one each a day. We make our own Laura type bars. I've even made them and toped with an avocado chocolate whip and called them raw brownies 🙅 My boss loved them so much he had me email the recipe to his wife so she could make them lol. Erin did you cut up the grapes you gave Max? It looked like you didn’t and I was a bit worried. Babies and toddlers shouldn’t be given whole grapes because they can choke on them. They can get lodged in their throats. I even met a lady who had lost a child that way.. It was someone I was working with and it had happened many years before but shocking and so sad to hear about it. The baruka’s sound awesome. Great to hear about the tree planting. Hi! You might just want to make sure you’re including more calories/larger portions of whatever it is you’re currently eating. Smoothies are also a great way to pack in a lot of nutrition and extra calories. Be sure to be eating enough fats and good quality protein. On the same token, don’t fear carbs-we eat tons of fruit and potatoes and sweet potatoes!
