Eaton Fuller 10 Speed Tutorial

Dude YES. Okay, readers of comments check it out; if you have the Logitech g-shift and you want the 10 speed, set the gears up EXACTLY how this dude did. That is POSITION 1, goes where you THOUGHT Reverse went when you did the input wizard. Notice how it says POSITION 1, and not GEAR 1. Did it this way and bam I have my range selector and all proper gears, thank you so much man! I put my reverse in position 1 and it messed everything up

I drive a truck for a living so Eaton Fuller 10 speed reverse is all the way to the left and up, 1st gear all the way to the left down, 2nd gear mid H up, 3rd gear mid H down, 4th gear all the way to the right and up, 5th all the way to the right down, 6th is splitter all the way to the right and down, 7th mid H and up, 8th mid H and down, 9th all the way to the right and up, 10th all the way to the right and down. With fuller transmissions in usa we don't have synchro's so in order to shift you either double clutch( clutch-neutral-clutch-gear) or float which involves using the rpm. If ya shift without rpm being right it will grind. Good vid though man.

This is simplified in ATS and all transmissions are synchro unless you edit your files. This is by no means a tutorial for an actual Eaton Fuller 10 speed. But, yes, you are correct in an actual semi.

Is there a setting that requires you to use double clutching? Watching you single-clutch just seems unrealistic.

10 speed does just fine fully loaded 80,700 pounds . 9th gear up hill still pulls good.

Thank you sir for the explanation ! I have been playing with an old Peterbilt 350 since yesterday and that helped me a lot to set my Eaton shifter up ! I need to see for 13-15 and 18 config. Maybe I can set 18 speed even if playing on 10 speeds but like this it Would be ready for all trucks whatever of 10-13-15-18 transmissions.?

First gear is actually supposed to be left and down they are dogleg transmissions and I'm trying to set up that way and it's not letting me

The eatons I’ve driven all have to be double clutched or floated. When you say clutch in, are you double clutching?

Can’t seem to pass 35 mph in the HWY even with light loads. 13 speed allows me 45ish. Any suggestions?

alcamerc 99 that is the shifter toggle 1 for your high/low range splits.

Loco Trucker Thank you Loco, I thought the one in front operated by the middle finger was to change the range. If that is not the case, then what is that one for. Hey, I got it all mapped for a ten speed but the numbers for the positions are different from what you show in your video. But it works. Thanks

@@alcamerc9970 You are correct, I said that wrong. The one on the side is the splitter for splitting your gears high/low. The middle one is the range for going high/low range. Sorry if I confused you there.

Loco Trucker LOL! I’m more confused now. Let’s get this straight. The button in front, operated by the middle finger, when is pushed down, I go from first thru fifth. Now I want to go from sixth thru ten, so I lift the same button in from up. Am I correct so far? When you say “split” the gears with the side button, the one operated by the thumb, what do you mean. I thought I had already split the gears with the middle finger button (for lack of a better name for it). You lost me there Loco.

@@alcamerc9970 It's not used on the ten speed. The "splitter" is only used on the 13 and 18 believe. Take a look at his videos for 13 and 19 speed.

The shifter I bought from AplusB. They make driving software for driving simulators and they sell the knob for $110 USD. You can find them here aplusbsoftware.com/software/simu-shift-knob-replacement/ I believe they started selling them on Amazon as well so you might want to look there.
