I did a celebrity cruise in July, French and Italian Riveira, starting in Barcelona and finishing in Rome and it was one of my best trips I’ve had! Absolutely incredible! The only problems were the WiFi connection, the food was nice but it was just the same stuff everyday, but those certainly didn’t ruin my experience at all! I’ve got another booked for this coming summer going to Spain, Portugal and Morocco, can’t wait!

Just done a Celebrity Solstice cruise. Singapore to Sydney. The wifi package is a con. you cannot send pics or whats app anyone, only text, they block everything else unless you upgrade for an extra $105.00 and you will need a classic drinks package that you can buy drinks up to $10.00 max. anymore and you have to pay the difference plus tax! like a guiness is $11.00 so have to pay $1.24 including tax. they soon add up. Also do not go to the Sunset bar at the rear of the ship, your clothes will get covered in soot. We had to launder a lot of ours on board, the ship did pay for them though. On a good note the food is excellent. the animated la peti chief is awsome.

If ur booked using a casino pkg,the all inc isn't an option..your charged separately for drink, tips,& wifi..def more expensive made the "free cabin" rather pricy in the end.. Very informative segment for newbies😊! & post Oct '23, no included gratuities..

We realise you are young, fit and agile and such issues related to mobility is not front of mind. My family and I just signed up for a cruise on celebrity edge for this summer! You may have said this in the video but one question I have is about the drink package. Are smoothies included in the classic drink packages? Also in the classic drink package is soda included just not Coca Cola brand? Any help would be appreciated! Great video!

So I need the package with water so I don’t get dehydrated I don’t drink or energy drinks but I do like coffee! I don’t need room service but I do want to enjoy a steak! I want at least 2 weeks with my 4-year-old. Can you suggest for me please and what are the best times for the best deals to cruise thanks

The tap water is drinkable (but then I am Australian and we drink tap water) and there is water in the buffet. Take you own water bottle and fill up.

If you purchase basic package, Water and coffee are included for all cruises. There are cups provided beside the drink station. Usually at the buffet. The one they charges are bottled water and specialty coffee. You are charged for fixed gratuity no matter what at the end of cruise goes to you bill. You don’t need to tip all the time during the cruise. If you don’t want room services, use the do not disturb sign. 2 weeks onboard can be pricy, there are kids club onboard which is included. If you really wants to stay onboard for 2 weeks, you can have a travel consultant to design and arrange for you, or you can do your own cruise hopping. you can also take your kid stay in a hotel before and after the cruise visit theme park nearby to make it to 2 weeks vacation. Disney also has half theme park and half Disney cruise package.

WiFi on ships use satellites. Your WiFi modem, unless it is enabled for satellite, depends on cellular or fiber service. Celebrity is upgrading to Elon Musk’s Starlink so service has greatly improved with the exception of TA sailings.

Your question proves you don't understand what wifi is and how it works. Wifi makes a wired connection wireless with the use of specific radio frequencies. Even starlink works this way. Tuning satellite to wired connection to wifi. You have no wired connection to turn into a wireless one on a cruise ship. Hope this helps

@@robzilla69 not quite right/complete, so I think it was a bit rude calling someone else out as not understanding something when you don't understand it fully yourself. you can also use a WiFi dongle (also known by other names) in which you can insert a SIM card with a data plan, so effectively using a cellular connection and presenting it via a WiFi router, so no wired connection required.

@@robzilla69We sailed with Celebrity in New Zealand, and bought a NZ SIM card. It provided much better access that the onboard WiFI whenever we were in port.
