Do you recall what one it was you found was cracked? My board the relays click on and immediately click off, i've done the "kit" but when the board goes to power up to 370v, the relays kick back off.

Hi I started following your video to repair an EAY 60968801 board. I got up to the part where you turn switch RL-ON on but when I turn on the switch my house MCB trips. I have checked the connections and have definitely got my soldering correct and onto the right pins. Do you have a suggestion as to what could be causing this power surge and what I can do next? +Antony Bosustow Sounds like you have a dead short somewhere. Actually your input fuse on the board should blow well before your main circuit breaker.

Thank you. I'm trying to repair one of these supplies also. Also open 22ohm resitor. Test it thoroughly. I have replaced that resistor twice and it has opened up again later after turning set off and on multiple times while testing. May have to up wattage.

ToltecMerc From what I measured on the EAY60968801 they are only used for about 1 second each time M_ON is turned off, I'm assuming to discharge the 200V VS capacitors. On my board there were 2x22R in series, which means the resistors would need to have a peak power rating of a few hundred watts each. I didn't have any problem though replacing them with 4W resistors of a different type, maybe I just was lucky.

ToltecMerc I'm also pretty sure the resistor value is not critical, could be a little higher, it would take longer to discharge the caps but then the power rating of the resistor could be lower.

Hi Tom. Thank you for the materials. I do not have +17V at P813 and sequentaly +5.1V at P813 (items 10 and 11 from your guide). 17VDC is Ok. Processor pin 13 is inactive. Processor pin 12 is active and +5V. Could you help me to understand the root course of my problem?Thanks in advance,Alexander

I'm having an issue that seems to be PFC related. With all boards connected when I plug the power in my standby goes from 3.5 right away to 5v. The relays click in and the large capacitors charger up but the relays click right backup off. My standby light remains on red all the time. AC_DET remains at 4.13. I already change the 10ohm White resistors. The others usually available kit components seem fine. Any thoughts? Thank you for sharing.

I am not a professional TV technician, just repairing stuff occasionally. What you want seems to require a complete course in TV technology which I am not able to give. As for lab equipment, to do something useful you need at least a multimeter, better an oscilloscope (preferably battery powered for primary side measurements) and an adjustable power supply or several to test LED strips.

Does anybody know the value of the Q605 transistor? I'm fixing a board and that transistor is missing.

On the EAY60968701 it says D1347 printed on Q605. Could be the 2SD1347. If it's this transistor the pinout would be ECB looking on the printed side, pins downwards. I measured it and base is definitely to the right. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the package that doesn't match the datasheet 100%. Datasheet shows a classic TO-92 package with the round back. The transistor on the board looks like a longer TO-92 with a flattened back.

Oi, não sei o valor de ZD303. Não sei exatamente por que colocaram ai, talvez pra não exceder a tensão max CE do optoacoplador. Segundo o datasheet do 3BR1565 a tensão pra alimentar o terminal FB vem de 5V internos, e depois passa por uma resistència, nada mais...Pode ser tb que não desenhei uma parte do circuito e que tem uma tensão vindo de outro lugar. Se vc suspeita esse diodo estar com defeito é só tirar ele e medir, nunca vi um zener mudar de valor, então ou seja ele está com curto-circuito ou ok.

Hi, sorry I didn't have a look at these boards for some time now. The training manual for these TVs , probably available on Elektrotanya, explain how the AC detect signal is handled outside of the PSU board. From what I see in this schematic, it is likely that AC could be detected right after RL101 through the optocoupler PC102 that goes into R03 of the uC. The uC would than give out the AC detect signal on P813. From what I remember if the mainboard doesn't get the AC detect signal it would turn off the PSU. Check out the training manual. Habe auch mit meinem lg board netzteil probleme . Die teile die sonst angegeben werden habe ich getauscht spannungsregler wiederstande die 3 a 20ohm und diode und wiederstand die die alle nebeneinanders sind. Der tv lief 2 stunden .jetzt macht der nur noch klack und passiert nichts mehr.könntest mir da evt.helfen

Sprechen wir von genau demselben Board? Partnumber ist dieselbe? Die Platine kann ohne den Rest des Fernsehers getestet werden wie in dem Link in der Videobeschreibung gezeigt. Bereite das erstmal vor (externe Schalter fuer M_ON und RL_ON und eine Last) dann sehen wir weiter.

There is not much before that fuse, check the bridge rectifier and the other diodes that are between fuse and the mains input. Does RL103 close? Put your multimeter in AC mode and measure on the testpoint where it says +DC in the schematic. What does it read?

I want to correct my previous reading, my meter was not in the correct setting...testing from the Neutral to F302, i do see around 170vdc. when i check +DC, in AC mode, testing from ground to +DC 4.0v, and from Neutral to +DC 2.8v. When i do turn my RL_on switch on, My relays will close staggared with a few ms between them, then normally, open back up together withing a second or so. When i measure VAC at F801 from Neutral with RL_on, when the relays come on for the second they do, the voltage goes to 1000-1200. I'm scratching my head on this one.

F801 (PFC out) is DC measured to primary ground. Do not measure AC to neutral after the main rectifier bridge, that's useless. Measure again DC voltage to primary ground (PFC out). Should be around 160V (with 120VAC input). Then with the relay ON the PFC should start and boost voltage up to maybe 380 or something like that, don't remember.

I don't know. If it's shorted I can't help you. If you're not sure if it's broken or not remove the diode then test it in forward direction with a multimeter. If thatz's ok then test it in reverse direction - put a resistor in series and apply a reverse voltage. You will then be able to measure the zener voltage value.

Tom it's a standard to220 plastic coated case like all the others on this board. I had rebuilt the y suspect board and replaced q906 k2508,,,and did the repair of ic301 associated parts. Perfect picture then. For about 20 min till the power supply failed. Now no tv, va, or vs. Just clicks on then off. If we can't figure this part out I would be willing to pay you to repair this for me. 1a24cn is exactly what's on it. Also a large F F0pf 10n20c The last numbers don't seem to have any important info. Any help you can offer will be deeply appreciated now that I know this low time tv my family left me will be useful. Thank you.

I do not know the value of ZD302, IMO it is either short when defective or it will be ok. You can measure its value by removing it. Put a resistor in series, 1k for example, connect it to an adjustable power supply, slowly increase voltage and observe the voltage drop over the diode. You said, the TV turns off but VS and VA remain on?? What about the control signals from the mainboard? What about the other voltages that come out of the PSU?
