shan t If it wasn't for Eazy's balls, dream, wit and cash, Cube would be selling shoes at Foot Locker and Dre would be selling his ass in an alley. The movie was a complete abhorration of reality. Eazy picked Dre as his house producer and he brought Yella with him. He picked Ren to rap as well and even though Dre and Cube knew each other, Eazy and Cube knew each other as well. That movie was based on a true story, wasn't true though.

Eazy was a kelly park crip from compton, ex crack dealer (still sold weed), an occultist who dabbled in witchcraft, and a dude that admitted to 7 murders on a howard stern interview. He had a song called men my height don't fight. Eazy wanted to kill suge knight, but Jerry Heller was like naw lets just sue him. Eazy was a straight up G. I admired eazy cause he was a go getter, and buisness man, but I'm no gangsta. Eazy put Compton on his back and on the map. You could not be a sucker and do that

+abelit2nite I can agree with the Biggie and Pac theory, but he had no reason to kill Easy. He got what he wanted out of him. He wanted E to let Dre. out of his contract. He and his goons beat Easy up until he signed Dre. out. Case closed. No need to go after Easy any further. He knew E wouldn't call the police. Especially not after defying the FBI and singing, "Fuck Da Police" at his concerts.

even in an interview though, Dre says and i quote "I don't consider myself no gangsta, I'm in here to make money know?" the image of NWA was heavily influenced by where they were from definitely. each of them had their part and influences they gave to the group... Dre with the beats, Eazy with the image, and cube with majority of the lyricism. eazy only speaking on Dre this way out of not being cool with him no more at that moment. their voices were great, everyone gets too caught up in the "he said she said" even when they was beefin', yknow the boys still had love for each other.

In the long run NWA was more negative than positive impact like Public Enemy. Interesting how Public Enemy has a more positive constructive music for African Americans, yet they promote NWA.

Exactly. I was blessed to see Public Enemy in concert in 1987. My mind was blown. I never saw black men with such authority. I'm pretty sure they won't get a movie. The last thing the machine wants is for blacks to stop killing each other or shitting on black women. #FightthePower2015

+Stephen scurlock My man I was saying the same as you I love public enemy and as a huge fan I feel the same p.e promoted consciousness in hip hop I agree seeing the s1ws on stage sealed the deal for me black power at it's finest, but no,we'll never get a p.e movie.

Stephen scurlock At the time they were fighting for freedom of speech for our people as opposed to censoring just our community. Unfortunately they kind of went down the wrong path, but they were still an element in starting that movement, also bringing awareness to police brutality. At the end of the day they were giving the people what they want, like a scarface movie or godfellas. People like violence not just the blacks. Sex, and violence sells even with a beat over it!

+Samone Lindsey Not everybody is trying to be cool, people like me just want to learn more about the group, I think your just trying to be cool by saying "hey everybody, I was listening to this when Boyz in the hood was released". Just because you were supporting them when they began doesn't mean everybody else isn't allowed to like them, it doesn't matter if somebody heard them back in the 90's or in 2015, they should be able to enjoy listening to N.W.A or learn about them without be harassed by people like you!
