No, it has lot of process, they have sprayed different chemical, and each time it was rinsed with water, but this method is not permanent unlike the original electro chroming.

for tank you can go for PVD Coating its the best and quality life also more u can also choose colours there its advanced technology used in titan watches like gold coat

nickeling is cheap but not bright as chrome also its not good nice for tank and it will create smog like surface by 3days if u dnt clean if u use spray clear on that we can avoid that issue but spray also gets worser after 1years

You should have put something on the fuel hole to resist water from going inside.

It's actually okay, because. These yamaha tanks are old and have rust. So before installation people tend to clean the tanks after they've been repainted.

Tap water does not get that kind of rust you are mentioning. The best to clean rust spots is not any of the products selling on stores. Its simply hot tap water and a soft tooth brush .
