Is someone with 10 years of experience considered a junior professional in his field for eb2-niw?

Hi Vikram! Based on what I've seen, not really. That being said, you still want to show progression throughout those 10 years and ideally show that you are contributing to the field as a whole, not just to your employer.

Just want to clarify that I am not a lawyer and that you should speak to a lawyer for personalized guidance on your legal situation. Also just wanted to clarify that while O-1 can help if you are about to max out on H-1B, do not have a priority date, and want to get into EB-2 via PERM (you can be on O-1 while your employer files a PERM for you, if the PERM goes through you can potentially go from O-1 back to H-1B), O-1 on its own does not lead to a green card. O-1 also has high standards (not as high as EB-1A), but for some of you O-1 may not be an option at all given the standards of the visa. The message I wanted to get across is that NIW is not the only option to look into and that you want to speak to an experienced immigration lawyer to look into all possible options given your particular situation. NIW for many of you can help, but it is not always the option for you (to know if it is, you may want to speak to a lawyer).
