From a former boat people from Viet Nam in 1980s and a proud American now, thank you so much Mr. John Fer and many other US service men and women for the noble service in Southeast Asia from roughly 1955 to 1975 in preserving the freedom and democracy. You are all truly American Heroes.

Thanks so much for posting this. I worked on EB 66s at Takhli in 1969. Unfortunately we were given very little idea of what a day was like for the crewmembers we sent off. Now I know. Great presentation!

Thank you Cindy for pointing out the speakers decorations at the end of his presentation. The speaker is a true hero and is obviously too modest to mention his medals, he was too modest to truly elaborate on the horrors he faced to keep us all safe. Thank you so much for posting this video!

In 1967 the TACAN site on the mountain in Northern Laos mentioned about minute 16 was actually channel 97 not channel 79. It was located at LS-85. It's main defense was it's altitude and some local Laos troops. No US troops until later. There was also a low frequency beacon.

Thanks for your service. My grand father was one of the EB-66 instructors at Shaw before he was killed in a training accident.

Finally...we get to see the audience. I wish the rest of these fantastic videos has also shown us the audience. I was an a Navy air squadron, VAQ-33, based at N.A.S. Norfolk, VA., from 71-75. We had 4 of these a/c, along with other a/c as well. But in the Navy, the B-66 is called the A-3 Skywarrior. The A-3's in our squadron were designated as ERA-3B, which means that they were an ECM plane loaded with all kinds of electronic counter-measures equipment. I was an AE-3 Petty Officer and I became what we called a 'plane captain' for these A-3's ( the Air Force calls that position a Crew Chief). I loved my ERA-3B's, each one had it's own personality and particular needs. Now a big difference between the B-66 and the A-3 is that our A-3's didn't have ejection seats...interesting. We lost 1 of the A-3's one day due to an over-pressurization in one of the wings that, I think, blew a hole in the wing which caused the plane to flip over and go in from 14,000 ft. There were 3 Officers on board...all 3 were killed. But I will always love my A-3's.

JB McKamey was a Navy A-1/A-4 pilot who was heroically brought back into the Navy Light Attack community after his release fm Hanoi in 1973 and remained on active duty, retiring as an O-6 following Command of Naval Air Station Pensacola. He passed away in 2010. As a fellow Naval Aviator and Barnowl (VA-215), he was an inspiration to a FNG who was proud and awed to be among such men

The word "hero" doesn't do this man justice. Maybe "Warrior" comes closer.

In the tap code it would have been better to remove the j instead of the k and use I and j as the same letter.
