So basically you saying if he had no patent and citation, he'd not have got his EB1? That's confusing as i've known software engineers who got eb1 without those, they did not even work in faang.

That’s a good question but then you’re competing with potentially millions of people both in the US and outside. And of course the quality is an issue.
