I wish the Dior counters in London had testers of the Creation de Monsieur Dior line…. it just Miss Dior and J’adore nowadays but I’d love to smell Dioressence! :(

i recently tested an old sample of diorella that i have, and to me it came off as primarily strong lemon oil plus aldehydic soap - ivory soap, if you know that reference. i wonder if my sample had gone off, because i really didn't get much of anything else, not even in the drydown (maybe the faintest bit of vetiver; no florals at all) certainly not any of the notes listed in the vintage like you picked up. i wonder if i should purchase a decant again and retest (there's a decant site here in the US that i got my sample from).

I don't know ivory soap but It's a green chypre so they do tend to be a bit soapy! This bottle had a real earthiness and lots of vetiver. It's the EDP - which one is your sample?
