Do you have suggestions for what I should do with the full quilt top? Quilt as is? Add applique? Something else?

I’m no expert. I say quilt it as it is. It would be nice to be able to make a label with the person name who started it but that’s a long shot.

Thank you for sharing your haul. The half striped/half solid green has beautiful detailed quilting on the solid green. Looks like a fleur-de-lis. This quilter did a fantastic job of highlighting the design of each block with quilting.

What a terrific haul! I adore the Ohio Star quilt on point that you got. Or is it a square with HSTs on the corners (whatever that is called)? What a treasure. Please update us on what you've done with that. I did a screen grab of it on the clothes line (don't you just love a quilt on a clothes line!), and I'm going to use that as inspiration for the layout of a scrappy star quilt I've been trying to figure out.

@@ScrapFabricLove Ha! My brain hasn't let go of what I would do. I would use a plain colored sheet (maybe) for the backing which is wider by 3-4 inches. Sew top and backing together on 3 sides and partially on 4th side, turn it out, slip in some high loft batting, tie the quilt, close the open end and viola', you have a cuddly comforter with a border. Or just leave the border part out. Are you going to donate it?

I feel it's sad that there were no notes with the pieces. I will include notes with my intentions for all my UFOs and wips so that someone else can finish them when I am too infirm to do so myself. ❤

That is a good idea. I guess it might be a slow process of realising one can’t sew anymore and at that point perhaps leaving notes wasn’t top of mind. 🤷‍♀️

T-shirt has been claimed I’m afraid - it is going to the states and the postage is roughly $7.50…so a bit much but at least it’s going where it will be used! Sorry I only have the one!

Maybe add borders on the quiltop. I've enjoyed seeing what you purchased. It's too bad that the person you bought it from didn't treasure the quilted pieces along with quilt top. All beautiful. Thanks . Hugs

Thanks for the feedback. I think it is a personal preference and different folk have different views on that. I only put the music on when there is no talking.
