I didn’t appreciate A Knight’s Tale when I first saw it. I thought the casting of Heath Ledger and the anachronistic soundtrack were cynical attempts to cater the film to teenyboppers. The second time I saw it I realized what a goofy, joyous movie it is. Now it’s one of those can’t-change-the-channel-when-it’s-on movies.

7:18 Peter Jackson cast (and then recast) Stuart Townsend because of About Adam. To think he was going to be Aragon. Life is strange.

12:51 Richard Roeper does a great job of interpreting and critiquing the script plus I like how he includes JLO

Wow. I'm shocked that Ebert actually liked A Knight's Tale, and for once we agree on a film. He usually hates movies like that, which I love...

Angel Eyes was written by the guy who wrote Sharkey's Machine and I still haven't seen it! Perhaps, it's because he also wrote Message in a Bottle.

No more anachronistic than having a full orchestra for most period films, like the score for Gladiator which features electric guitar among other things... As long as the emotion is correct, it doesn't matter what the music is.

"Old timey music" WAS the rock music of the time. It captures the spirit...and it's fun!
