I bought a whole pound of powdered pine gum rosin for less than $10 on ebay. Mix with 97% rubbing alcohol, and you have rosin flux on the cheap. A pound of that stuff is a huge bag, and will go a long, long, way. And it lasts forever in dry form. I don't think I will have to buy that stuff again for years to come.

I want to start off by saying you did a pretty good job of putting it back now however I do have a question when you were drilling that axle out did it hold together after you did all that drilling I'm curious

That solder iron will work alot better with s bit of solder to give more surface contact when heating the wires!

Looks like there is enough wire there to cut before the soldered ends until your ready to come back in and wire everything up. Just thought it would be faster than trying to heat up the whole bundle of copper.

I am running an old Chrystalyte 408 hub motor on a Chrytalyte 1200w controller limited to 30a. I am trying to limit weight and work with what I have. So my question is, would switching the motor windings to a Delta configuration be the same as increasing the running voltage with the goal being greater hill-climbing ability? Are there any other options, and what are the pros & cons of a Delta configuration?

Just want to ask sir, do you have tutorial for voltage cut off mod, lowering the voltage cut of 72v to 52v?. Tanxs

only was to do it would be to find a electronics schematic for the controller. change the lvc resister.

dude i have a simple question..I bought my self two hub motors from the internet..Ones a 48v 1000w rear and and a 36v 500w. they look just alike with the same hard ware but the charge controller ones bigger(48v) .Yeah i know over kill but the batteries for those hover boards are cheap right now (36v 4.4ah). Anyway my 36v got damaged (wires on the wheel). Can i use my 48v 1000w wheel with the 36v controller..All the hardware is the same and they look just alike..

yes you can. its a better setup. the motor will run cooler.

The less you move, fatigue, heat, twist, any electrical wiring the better your outcome. Consider also the coating on that copper winding wire..... It's all about getting everything back together without incurring any new damage. The wise mechanic will not take a customers car for a test drive out of fear something else will fall apart.
