It's like a more extreme, less capable, but probably more useful Honda Motocompo. The perfect backup transportation to keep in a car's trunk. I love it! I'd keep mine in the trunk of my car all the time, and whenever there was a good opportunity I could park the car and go for an electric bicycle ride. And you don't even need to lug the bike indoors to recharge. Just take out the battery for charging when you arrive at your destination. If you've got the cash and even a little trunk space to spare, this is a good item to keep in the trunk along with a first aid kit, some basic automotive tools, emergency food and water, a blanket, a change of clothes, and a rifle. Now you can add a second ground vehicle without sacrificing much cargo capacity in most trunks. I don't think I'd miss the used space in anything larger than a kei car.

I think the reason there's a safety for the front wheel and not the back wheel is because if the front lock fails, you are going to get thrown over the front instantly. If the back lock fails, you probably won't even notice. Unless you try to walk it backwards.

@reidgleason78623 жыл бұрын
The reason the front has a safety and the back doesn't is because of the hinge placement. If you were to hit a pump with the front tire it would try to force the hinge open but if the back wheel hits a bump moving forward it just forces the hinge more closed and doesn't effect anything. Also, since these hinges are angled outwards you would have to take your weight off the bike for them to go back in. Looks like a dope bike!

Great addition to the car emergency kit, especially for suburban and rural dwellers. Car does the long commute and bike does the runarounds. Plus; if you happen to run out of gas or have a breakdown in the middle of nowhere you can most likely make it on this bike to the next gas station on one battery charge. Plus: one in the trunk for each of your kids and dropping them off at school becomes fun rather than a crash derby thru the normal school run. Kids would love jumping off at the street corner and biking it there and back for pickup later no problem... Wonder if they have an adaptor to charge off the car in motion from the USB or Lighter power circuit?

10:45 feels like the safety is because the momentum of the wheel and the direction of the mechanism that holds it while you're going straight. The rear wheel will have a hard time folding forward as it's naturally being forced against body while the front wheel would more likely roll itself into folding position if it gives or becomes unlatched. Still would make sense for both I think, though.
