To add to my previous comment: I think the land-to-sea transition is so key; a real 'Wizard of Oz' moment! I suppose it's an obvious parallel, really: from the monochrome land to the exciting, colourful ocean (where the selkie belongs); yet, there is conflict, too: we see this when she looks back over her shoulder; also, when she brushes her hand through the grass. (So many good memories!) We also get the words: 'Save me from this silent ocean...' Yet, the selkie runs towards it. Oh, and I love the cymbals - representing the tide - as she enters into the depths! 'Bye, 'bye, Kansas - forever, it would seem... Anyway, beautiful ambiguity: should we feel sad, or happy? Or... both?! Stunning!

Incredibly gorgeous! That underwater part going back to the wild, the colours, the flowing fabrics and hair, is just too much 🧡

Another wonderful song from Ebony Buckle!!! Your voice is an amazing instrument you wield with great precision. I have been in love with your vocals since you sang Matty Groves on an episode of George Gently. In that case you really did a good job of singing in a Geordie accent in keeping with your character. Currently I can't decide if Selkie or Ghost is my favorite, but either way I'll be looking for more.

Ebony, you and your team has done it again. I think it goes without saying that this is yet another of your videos that totally nails its own ascetic. From beginning to end it really does feel like not only am i listening to a story, I am also witnessing it be told even tho it isn't being shown. I love how it changes from old timey film to a colorful living artwork (like as the saying goes that in every frame there's a painting) It truely does feel like i'm watching a being of pureness and grace, move around in the water like an angel would in the clouds. I love it all to bits and I can't wait for the next masterpiece you put out here for us. ✨💗
