I can't even pick my favorite line because they're all so good. I absolutely adore this line specifically: "Guess I was only hungry once and watched the same movie for the rest of my life. You owed me _one_ flavor of ice cream, but I heard Baskin Robins got 32."

As I cry my self to sleep listening to poem after poem I realized that there is not one poem that can express how I'm feeling. I feel lost at times so I youtubed lost poetry slam poems. I feel angry at times so I did the same and I also feel alone. But not one said what I wanted to say. As I cry my self to sleep my sister and my mother snore soundly. As I cry my self to sleep I picture my last breath. As I cry my self to sleep I realized that there is a poem. MINE.

Yup I'm very hurt. I gave my girls all the heart I had and it's like it meant absolutely nothing. I overreacted to your poem a bit but atleast your pops tried. Maybe he just never saw manhood modeled well as a child. Bottom line is be careful how you dishonor your folks whether it be mom or dad. Someday you'll be their age and by then you'll have a better understanding about just how difficult life is. I use to think my dad didn't see me enough after the divorce. Then after mine I understood why and realized that what he was up against was tough. I ended up giving him a perfect match kidney 14 years ago and he's still ticking. He's my best friend. Trust me please. FORGIVENESS AND OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE SIS!!!! YAH BLESS!
