I love the Cantu moisturizing curl activator. It really does work. I don't know about mousse in my hair though. The center is much tighter than the perimeter.

i do love using moose in my wash and gos..either on a lazy day when i use a leave in and moose...or because i get soo much volume when i use moose..and curls come out soft and more bouncy💙💙💙💙

I'm so glad I watched this video. My daughter, whose 14, has very very thick THICK coiled mixed hair. It feels more on the black side then the typical mixed child hair. I'm STILL trying to figure it out. This taught me to go all the way to the scalp to apply product and that it was ok to comb thru her coils when they had product in them. After trying this using Kinky Kurl, Curly Chic (a knock off of Mixed Chics) and mouse for black hair her coils went to the scalp versus the hair 2 inches from the scalp being...whats the word??? not defined. She currently uses the leave in Cantu but I could open a shop from all the products we have tried over the years from Carols Daughter to ..well you name it we tried it. We do like Hawaiian Silk, Curls Unleashed and Kinky Kurls.Thank you for this video.

Oh my gosh yes! I love mousse! It leaves my hair so lightweight and bouncy; I've tried gels in the past, but gels just weigh down my fine hair. I think gel is good on day's that are extremely humid or with hair that is extra curly and thick. For fine curls I feel like mousse is the way to go. I use Creme of natures leave in hair milk along with their mousse. My favorite mousse though is design essentials mousse, but I normally will go for creme of nature (girl here is on a school budget)

My hair hates all gels. I have fine hair and gel gives me the stringy ramen noodle look. I remembered when I cut the last two inches of relaxer off my hair i used mousse when my hair was short. I have up on wash n gos because of gel but now I've found my way back to mousse

Hi, your hair is beautiful !!! I have a question: The activator seems to function the same as the mousse -- why use both? I am fairly new at this and have just gotten my hair to the point where I can wear wash -n-gos. My hair is thin and fine, but I definitely have a pretty curl pattern. I use the mousse for hold. I like my curls to have a pretty firm hold so I seldom rely on just one product to keep my curls in tact. If you're looking for a lighter hold, the mousse by itself would probably suffice well on it's own

Wash and gos are the WORST for me. I'm somewhere around 4a/3c and my hair sticks all over the place and shrinks when I try to do a wash and go. Its just not sexy lol

PrettyTiaF you have to really try different methods to define your curls. Finger detangleling really helps. Use small sections. That really helps you not to get overwhelmed. Keep at it you will get better.
